This is my first annual list of Best Spanish Books for Spanish learners.

These are books I have used and gone through myself. I have different categories for each book. Some are more textbooks and some are more for reference. This book falls into the self study section.

This book is ideal for a self-learner or someone who has a tutor and is at an advanced level and looking for nice explanations. If you are a student of mine I will be able to assist you with the book selection.

I use parts of this book to teach myself still. You do not have to be an advanced learner to use this book. You could also be an upper-intermediate learner.

Each chapter explains a different concept. At the end of the chapters you will have several practice worksheets to see how well you understood the concepts. You can then use the answer key in the back to verify. For some answers explanations are given to help clarify certain gray areas.

This book is available for free at the library in digital or hard copy. It is also available for purchase for 5-10 dollars. Money well spent.

These two sayings are said together often.

Here is a picture of me with some very large avocados (aguacates) in Colombia. This is a different type of avocado that you don't see much in the USA (EEUU).

It is a very large avocado and the taste is similar, however the consistency is a bit less creamy.

When you ask which one do you want you say: ¿Cuál quieres?

In Spanish the question mark is upside down in the beginning.

The most important verbs and my favorite ones of the day. If you do not know these verbs in your Spanish 1 or 2 or 3 there is no way you will be getting an A.

I tell you how we teach our classes and the curriculum that we use to get students speaking fast. I discuss the book that we use and encourage students to get and use to study while in class.

Barron’s 501 Spanish Verbs seventh edition or eighth or sixth.
You can get the other versions they just won’t have exercises in the beginning that I like to assign you as review after class.
