On Sunday, June 14, the remarkable students and faculty of the Chopin Academy of Music will take the stage at the magnificent Benaroya Hall for our annual Honors Recital—an inspiring celebration of talent, dedication, and artistic achievement.
For more than two decades, the Chopin Academy of Music has been committed to one simple philosophy: every child deserves exceptional musical instruction from the very beginning. Whether a student dreams of performing at Carnegie Hall, competing internationally, or simply experiencing the lifelong joy of music, our faculty works tirelessly to develop artistry, discipline, confidence, and creativity at the highest level.

This special event will showcase more than 90 outstanding young musicians representing our distinguished studios. Audiences will experience an extraordinary journey through the piano repertoire, from the timeless elegance of Bach and Mozart to the passionate masterpieces of Chopin, Liszt, and other great composers. From beginning students taking important artistic steps to advanced performers presenting virtuosic works, every performance represents months—and often years—of dedicated effort.

This is why there are no cheap shortcuts in a true classical music education.
To fully experience the profound beauty of Brahms, Bruch, Beethoven, Gershwin, and the other great masters, you must first learn to read the language of music. You must develop real skills—skills that allow you to produce a beautiful, singing tone and bring these masterpieces to life. Without that foundation, music becomes little more than pressing random notes on a keyboard. Perhaps Grandma is impressed, but in the long run the student has gained very little. Time wasted. Effort wasted. Money wasted.
In this photo are two accomplished physicians following a wonderful home salon concert featuring Bruch's Violin Concerto, Beethoven's Tempest Sonata, and Gershwin's Three Preludes. Every day, these doctors face human suffering, illness, difficult decisions, and life-and-death situations. Yet when they need an outlet for stress, emotion, and personal expression, they turn to music.
Why? Because a serious musical education creates something far greater than a childhood hobby. It creates a lifelong relationship with beauty.
Dr. Ruth and Dr. Melinda presented a marvelous salon performance last Monday. As adults with demanding professional careers, they continue to study and refine their artistry with expert teachers—Dr. Ruth with Dr. Ivona Kaminska and Dr. Melinda with a concertmaster of the orchestra. That is the difference between “cheap tricks” and the “real and correct” education. Music remains a source of inspiration, solace, challenge, and joy for an entire lifetime.

Bravo to Antara!
As a prizewinner of the popular Crescendo International Music Competition, Antara earned the extraordinary opportunity to perform on the legendary stage of Carnegie Hall in the heart of New York City.
This remarkable achievement was made even more memorable as the entire family enjoyed an inspiring journey to one of the world's great cultural capitals, experiencing the energy, artistry, and excitement that make New York City so unforgettable. Performing at Carnegie Hall is a milestone that many young musicians dream about, and Antara represented herself, her family, and the Chopin Academy of Music with distinction.
We are tremendously proud of Antara's accomplishment and look forward to many more musical successes in the years ahead. Bravo, Antara!
