MUSEO Art Academy In-person and online art classes for kids and teens.

MUSEO Art Academy runs a variety of art camps and classes for ages 5 - 19 at our Issaquah studio and online via Zoom. All lessons and projects are designed to heavily focus on the creative process with an emphasis in building skills and creative confidence in each student.

Just wrapped up the first Friday Pottery Camp of the summer—so much fun! Where did the day go?!
Students will return to the studio in a couple of weeks to glaze their fabulous creations (after their projects have completely dried and have been bisque-fired)

INTRO TO ART (AGE 4-7)
In their previous class, Intro to Art (4-7) made their own scratch art paper by coloring a sheet of paper with pastels and painting over it with a mixture of soap and black paint.

In this class, they were able to scratch off the paint to reveal their colors! Class started with some stencil practice so that they were prepared to use some stencils (if wanted) on their scratch art paper!

Mr. Matty’s class learned about unity by creating a cohesive form with separate parts.

DRAWING (AGE 6-9) students learned about facial expressions and how the slightest adjustment to each feature of the face can help to convey a specific emotion.
