🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to our amazing Ms. Caitlin! 🎂🎉
Today we celebrate someone who has been such an important part of the heart of Young Scholars for many years. Ms. Caitlin spent many wonderful years as our Lead Preschool Teacher, shaping little minds, creating joyful classrooms, and supporting countless children and families along the way.
Now, as our Assistant Directors, she continues to shine — guiding our team, supporting our programs, and helping our school grow. And let’s be honest… she is absolutely nailing it! 👏
Not only is she an incredible educator and leader, she’s also a busy mom of three boys — and somehow she manages to do it all with grace, humor, and heart. 💙
The funny part? While we want her eating cake and being celebrated all day, she is currently at a school cohort meeting working to make our program even stronger. That’s just the kind of dedicated person she is.

Another trip around the sun for one of Young Scholars’ favorite humans! Ms. Larren has celebrated many birthdays with us over the years, and we feel so lucky that so many of them have been spent right here at Young Scholars.
As the amazing Lead Educator in the Mozart Program, she keeps our little learners engaged, inspired, and probably a little more musical than the rest of us. But let’s be honest… Ms. Larren isn’t just known in Mozart — she’s famous throughout the entire school for her kindness, dedication, and the way she makes everyone feel welcome.
We absolutely adore her and are so grateful for all the love and care she gives our students every single day. 💛
If you see her today, be sure to wish her a VERY happy birthday… and maybe remind her that birthdays are the perfect excuse for extra cake! 🎂

Do you enjoy tiny humans with big personalities?
Do you believe snack time is a sacred event and that a good dance party can solve almost anything? Then we might have the job for you!

Young Scholars Child Care Center is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our amazing growing team. You won’t be alone — you’ll be part of an experienced team that already works together in this age group, ready to welcome another caring adult into the mix.
Your days may include:
🧸 Building block towers (and rebuilding them after enthusiastic destruction)�
📚 Reading the same book… several times… in one sitting�
🎨 Creating masterpieces with paint, glue, and sometimes a little yogurt�
💃 Toddler dance parties that rival any nightclub

Don’t worry if you’re new to the field. We will help you learn everything you need to know, including:�
• DCFS requirements and standards�
• The State Quality Rating System (ITERS)
�• Gateways of Opportunity professional development�
• INCCRRA systems and training

Prior experience or education in early childhood will receive priority, but it is not required. What matters most is kindness, patience, and a sense of humor (toddlers will test all three daily).

Please help us congratulate Ms. Deana on her 2nd year back with us!
Fun fact — she was one of our very first preschool teachers almost 30 years ago… and lucky for us, she found her way back home. 💛
Ms. Deana subs in all of our classrooms (true superhero status), but our School Age crew especially lights up when she walks in the room. She brings experience, calm, laughter, and that steady presence that only someone with heart and history can bring.
She ROCKS — and we are so grateful she’s part of our Young Scholars family (again!).

Today marks 19 YEARS of Ms. Chrys being part of the Young Scholars family—and wow, what a gift she has been! 💛
As our amazing Director of Development, she pours her heart into our school, our families, and our community every single day. She’s also a proud mama to three daughters and somehow still finds the time to be incredibly active in the community (superpower status 💪✨).

Today we’re celebrating one of our absolute gems! 💐 Ms. Chanda is the definition of flexible, kind, and always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. As our amazing Resource Coordinator, she supports her coworkers and works closely alongside administration to keep everything running smoothly.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone — 25 years at Young Scholars! 🎉
For a quarter of a century, Ms. Jeannine has lovingly taught and nurtured our youngest learners (under age 3), giving them the safest, warmest start to their school journey.
Beyond the classroom, she has faithfully led our biannual book fairs, helping foster a love of reading across our school — and if you’ve ever seen her alongside Clifford, you know they’re the best of friends 📚🐶❤️.
Ms. Jeannine has been a backbone of our evolution in Early Childhood Education, offering dedication, consistency, and heart every step of the way.

We are so excited to celebrate Ms. Khrystyna’s first anniversary with us here at Young Scholars! She is an incredibly hard-working teacher with an amazing work ethic, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our school family.

🎨✂️ CALLING ALL KIND, CRAFT-LOVING HUMANS! ✂️🎨
Our little artists at Young Scholars have been cutting, drawing, gluing, folding, glittering, and creating masterpieces at record speed… which means…
🗣️ WE ARE OUT OF PAPER.
Like… “I swear I just bought a giant pack yesterday” out of paper. 😂
If you have any extra printer paper, construction paper, scrap paper, old notebooks, half-used pads, random sheets you found in a drawer — we’ll happily take it!
🌈 If kids can draw on it, cut it, or turn it into “a project for my mom,” we want it.
🚗 And YES — we will gladly pick up!
Help us keep the creativity flowing and the scissors snipping.
