Arturo joins FPU from Santa Barbara CC this Spring. Arturo had an impressive Fall season at SBCC. Alegria led the Western State Conference in multiple GK categories; allowing the fewest goals allowed (7) with a .61 Goals Against Average. Welcome to FPU, Turi 💪🏼

Welcome to FPU - Coach Alex Culwell🟠🔵

Alex Culwell is a former professional footballer and elite talent developer with a proven track record of developing players to MLS, USL Championship, European first teams, and U.S. Youth and Senior National Teams.

As Technical Director of First Strike Soccer Academy in Los Angeles, he has trained and mentored high-level professionals and top academy prospects, including Alyssa Thompson, Giselle Thompson, Moise Kean, Arkadiusz Milik, Max Arfsten, along with elite players from LA Galaxy, LAFC, and Inter Miami. His work emphasizes cognitive speed, tactical understanding, technical ex*****on, and emotional control—preparing players to perform consistently under pressure.

In addition to his development work, Alex has competed professionally in the USL Championship and NISA, representing clubs such as Fresno FC, Las Vegas Lights FC, LA Force, and Irvine Zeta FC. His experience as a professional player guides his development philosophy, allowing him to design realistic, high-performance pathways built on accountability, confidence, and professional habits.

Alex’s role on the coaching staff will be focused on individual player development; working with small groups concentrating on developing our athletes physically, mentally, technically & tactically.

Nash comes to FPU this Spring from FCC. Higby was a key figure in the center of midfield starting in 22 matches and earning 1st team All Conference honors for the Rams. He also got it done in the classroom, as he was recognized as a part of the Deans List. Nash is a Clovis native and a former captain for Sanger HS. Welcome home Nash!🧡💙

WELCOME BEAUTIFUL BRUSSEAU ✍🏽

Beau joins FPU this Spring from Chico St. Beau played locally for Buchanan HS where he was a 2x All Conference selection. Brusseau is a left footed central defender who made 8 appearances this Fall. The Clovis native has also been on the Deans List 3x at Chico St. Welcome home Beau!🧡💙

Bernardo joins FPU this Spring from FCC. He is an experienced central defender who was a two year starter for Fresno City College. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Novello was an CVC All Conference selection this Fall. Welcome to FPU Bernardo!🧡💙

Andres comes to FPU this Spring from CSUMB. Perez led Lindsay HS to a section championship with 37 goals 8 assists in 2025. He redshirted for the Otters this Fall. He is a top attacking player who can play numerous positions in the front line. Andres will be joining his brother Daniel at FPU. Welcome home Andres!🧡💙
