Celebrating Virtue at St. Scholastica Academy!

During September, our students focused on the virtue of HOPE — trusting in God's loving plan.
While all of our students worked to grow in this beautiful virtue, Tommy, Ruth, Ryan, Charlotte, Eva, and Julia were recognized for especially exemplifying hope in their daily lives.
👏 Congratulations to our September Virtue Award recipients!

During October, our students will be learning about and practicing the virtue of STUDIOUSNESS — seeking knowledge to grow closer to Truth.
May we continue to grow in virtue as we journey together on the path to sainthood!

Last Week was Another Busy and Blessed Week at St. Scholastica Academy!

How do we fit so much into one school week? We're not quite sure, but somehow we manage! 😊
🚒 Our 1st–5th graders enjoyed a visit to the local fire station!
🎃 Our high school students carved pumpkins generously donated by the Knights of Columbus. Thank you, Knights!
🎭 Christmas play tryouts brought a little Christmas excitement into October!
🚗 Mr. F visited our 1st and 2nd graders and helped them build cars while learning about kinetic energy!
🙏 On October 7, we celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary by coming together to pray a Living Rosary. What a beautiful way to honor Our Blessed Mother!

📚 And believe it or not, we still found time for some good old-fashioned academics!

Middle School — Learning Greek!
5th Grade — Tackling order of operations
4th Grade — Diagramming sentence skeletons
2nd Grade — Mastering long vowel sounds

Faith, learning, creativity, and a whole lot of activity! Just another week in the life of our school family.

All for the greater glory of God!

📸 School Picture Day! 📸

We had school pictures today! A very special thank you to Dr. Ryan Speltz, who generously donates his time and talent each year to take our students’ school pictures. We are so grateful for his kindness and generosity to our school family! ❤️

St. Veronica, patron saint of photography, pray for us! 🙏📷

🎒✨ Tomorrow is the day! ✨🎒

We are so excited to welcome our students back to St. Scholastica Academy tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9!
The classrooms are ready. The books are waiting. Our teachers are excited. And we can’t wait to see our students walk through the doors and begin another year of learning, growing, praying, laughing, and becoming who God created them to be. 💛🖤
This year, we are especially reminded that we are all On the Path to Sainthood — and we don’t walk that path alone. Our students, teachers, and families walk it together, encouraging one another, learning from one another, praying for one another, and helping one another grow closer to Christ.
There will be challenges along the way. There will be accomplishments to celebrate. There will be ordinary days that God uses in extraordinary ways. And through it all, we’ll keep walking — together, on the path to sainthood. ❤️
We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

📚 The last of our books are trickling in, and we’re getting excited for a new year of learning at St. Scholastica Academy!

We carefully choose the best curriculum we can find for our students. And when something created especially for our children would be a better fit, our curriculum coordinator, Dr. Weber, puts her expertise and heart into designing it!

She’s been working especially diligently on our Wonder and Wisdom program for first and second graders, thoughtfully preparing lessons to nurture curiosity, inspire wonder, and help our youngest learners grow in knowledge and faith. ✨

Behind every book and lesson is a whole lot of thought, care, and love for the children we teach. 💛🖤

🎉 Congratulations to Our 4-H Students! 🍀

We are so proud of our St. Scholastica Academy students who participated in 4-H at their county fairs this summer! Their projects represent many hours of learning, creativity, hard work, responsibility, and perseverance.

A special congratulations to those whose projects were selected to continue on to the Minnesota State Fair! What an exciting accomplishment! ⭐

We love seeing our students use their God-given talents, challenge themselves to learn new things, and share those talents with others. Whether your project earned a ribbon, a trip to the State Fair, or simply helped you grow in knowledge and skill, we are proud of you!

Congratulations to all of our 4-H students on a job well done! 🍀💛🖤

✨ On the Path to Sainthood ✨
Every great journey begins with a single step.

As we prepare for a new school year at St. Scholastica Academy, we invite our entire school family to begin praying for the journey ahead.
Our 2026–2027 theme, On the Path to Sainthood, reminds us that holiness is God's call to each of us. Day by day, through prayer, virtue, learning, and love, we take one step closer to Christ.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
Psalm 119:105

Please keep our students, families, and teachers in your prayers as we prepare for another year of growing in wisdom, faith, and holiness.
Every lesson is a step toward truth. Every day is another step toward Heaven.

✨ Introducing Our 2026–2027 School Theme ✨

On the Path to Sainthood

Every year at St. Scholastica Academy, we choose a theme that reminds us of our ultimate purpose. This year's theme, "On the Path to Sainthood," is more than a slogan—it is the reason we exist.

Our mission has never been simply to help students earn good grades, get into college, or prepare for a career. Those things matter, but they are not our highest goal. Our greatest desire is to help form young men and women who know, love, and serve God, using the gifts He has given them to become the saints He created them to be.

This mission is also at the heart of every Catholic parent's vocation. Parents are the primary educators of their children—not only in academics, but in the Faith. At St. Scholastica Academy, we are honored to walk beside our families in that mission. Together, we encourage our students to take one faithful step at a time toward Heaven.

Throughout this school year, we'll focus on the small, daily habits that help us grow in holiness:
📖 Spending time with Sacred Scripture.
🙏 Visiting Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
❤️ Practicing virtue.
🤝 Serving others with charity.
📚 Growing in wisdom and truth.
✝️ Following Christ in our ordinary lives.

No one becomes a saint overnight. Sainthood is a journey—a path walked one prayer, one act of love, one sacrifice, and one "yes" to God at a time.

We invite our entire St. Scholastica family to join us as we spend this year On the Path to Sainthood.

After all, our destination has never changed.

Heaven is our goal. 💙
