Sometimes students notice warning signs before adults do. Knowing what to look for can make a difference.

A concerning social media post. A threat. Bullying or harassment. Someone talking about hurting themselves or someone else. Or simply a situation that doesn’t feel right.

Through Sandy Hook Promise’s Say Something program, students learn three important steps: recognize the warning signs, take them seriously, and say something.

Speaking up isn’t about getting someone in trouble. It’s about getting someone help. 💛

At WCSD, the safety and well-being of our students remain at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to announce a new partnership with Sandy Hook Promise as part of our continued commitment to fostering safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments.

As part of this initiative, we will soon launch the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System across our schools. This program empowers students to recognize warning signs, speak up, and help create a culture where everyone looks out for one another.

Parents and guardians, please be on the lookout for a letter coming home with your student that will provide additional information about the program. As we begin implementation, our counselors and school administrators will also provide students with guided lessons to help them understand how the system works and when and how to use it. We appreciate your continued support in keeping our schools safe, welcoming, and supportive for every student.

It's time for our Annual Title I Parent Meeting for the 2026-2027 school year! The purpose of this meeting is to inform parents and stakeholders of the functions of Title I and its programs and services within our school. This year, our theme, "End of Summer Splash Bash", will feature fun, interactive STEM activities for the whole family, led by Mercer University!

Still need help with your beginning-of-the-year electronic forms? We'll be happy to help with that, too!
Representatives from Communities in Schools and the Warrior Wellness Center will be on-site with vital information for all families! Hope to see you there!

We would like to publicly thank Calvin McCarthy Lodge #310 for their generous donation of back-to-school supplies to our students. Because of your kindness, we can continue to ensure that our students' basic needs are met. We are grateful for your partnership!

During the August Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. James proudly shared results from our Spring End-of-Grade and End-of-Course assessments. The data showed a positive trend—Wilkinson County Schools experienced growth across multiple content areas!🎉

We are proud of the hard work of our students, teachers, administrators, and staff who made these gains possible. These results encourage us to keep pushing forward, building on our progress, and raising the bar for student achievement.

Dr. James also recognized Dr. Paulk and the entire team at Wilkinson County High School for being named a Literacy Leader by the Georgia Department of Education based on 2025 assessment results.

We’re proud of the progress, proud of the recognition, and excited to keep the momentum going. Warrior Nation is climbing higher! 💙💛

Update: We've successfully completed the first WHOLE WEEK in the 2026-2027 school year! 🏫🎉

Parents, you did your part. From Open House through the first days of school, we have appreciated the opportunity to partner with you. Thank you for sending us your most valuable assets. Rest assured, each student has been welcomed back by our administrators, reconnected with their peers, and given the rules, policies, and procedures by the staff, ensuring a smooth transition in the new year.
