Because of the outstanding participation and cooperation shown by our 9th and 10th grade students during today's PreACT testing, Mr. Sprinkle is rewarding the ENTIRE student body with an OUT OF UNIFORM DAY TOMORROW! 🙌👏

We are proud of our freshmen and sophomores for stepping up, taking their testing seriously, and representing Alma Bryant High School in such a positive way!

👕 OUT OF UNIFORM DRESS CODE REMINDERS 👖

While students may be out of uniform, all clothing must remain school-appropriate. The following items are NOT permitted:

🚫 No boots
🚫 No hoodies
🚫 No hats or head coverings
🚫 No tank tops or sleeveless shirts
🚫 No crop tops or shirts exposing the midriff
🚫 No low-cut or revealing necklines
🚫 No skirts
🚫 No pajamas or sleepwear
🚫 No clothing displaying political messages
🚫 No clothing promoting alcohol, to***co, drugs, or inappropriate language or images

✅ Students should wear appropriate, modest clothing that meets school dress code expectations.

⚠️ Remember: Being out of uniform is a privilege, and students are expected to follow all dress code guidelines. Students who do not follow these expectations may be required to change.

🏈💙❤️ HERRICANES MAKE HISTORY AND CLINCH A HOME PLAYOFF GAME! ❤️💙🏈

What a night for the Alma Bryant HERricanes Flag Football Team! The HERricanes put together an outstanding performance on both sides of the football, highlighted by a school record, explosive offensive plays, and two incredible defensive and special teams touchdowns!

But the biggest news of the night? With the victory, the HERricanes have officially clinched a HOME PLAYOFF GAME on November 3rd! 🏆

🔥 Danaejah Foster made HISTORY! Foster rushed for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns, bringing her career total to 22 rushing touchdowns and setting a new Alma Bryant career rushing touchdown record! An incredible accomplishment and a testament to her hard work and dedication to this program!

🎯 Reighan Bosarge had another impressive performance at quarterback, completing 8 of 11 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.

🏈 Addison Thornton was a big-play threat in the passing game, hauling in 2 receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown!

⚡ Brenleigh Imel provided one of the most exciting plays of the night, taking a punt return 45 yards to the house for a touchdown!

🛑 Adaleigh Lewis made her presence felt on defense, returning an interception 40 yards for a touchdown!

💪 Ali Ngo also came up with a huge defensive play, recording an interception of her own!

This was a complete TEAM effort! From the offense moving the football and putting points on the board to the defense creating turnovers and special teams making game-changing plays, our HERricanes showed what happens when everyone comes together and does their job.

And while the individual performances deserve recognition, what makes this victory even more special is what it means for our program. The road to the playoffs will now come through Alma Bryant on November 3rd!

Congratulations to Danaejah on making school history, to our players and coaches on securing a home playoff game, and to the entire HERricanes program for continuing to raise the standard!

Hurricane Nation, mark your calendars for November 3rd! We're going to need EVERYONE to show up, pack the stands, and help give these young ladies the home-field advantage they've worked so hard to earn!

📚 Today, our Alma Bryant teachers participated in professional development through the Learning Launch!

Our faculty spent the day collaborating, sharing ideas, and learning new strategies focused on checking for understanding. These strategies will help teachers identify what students know, address misconceptions, adjust instruction, and provide support before students fall behind.

Professional development gives our teachers valuable time to learn from one another, strengthen classroom instruction, and continue building engaging learning environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

At Alma Bryant, learning never stops—not only for our students, but for our teachers as well. We are proud of their commitment to growing professionally and providing the best possible education for our Hurricanes!

🏐 Congratulations, Grace Kelly! 🏐

Congratulations to Alma Bryant volleyball player Grace Kelly on being selected as the Azalea City Kiwanis Club Player of the Week following her outstanding performance against the Theodore Bobcats!

Grace delivered an impressive all-around performance with three aces, nine kills, a 3.75 passing rating, five digs, and one block in the Hurricanes’ big victory. Her impact was felt in every phase of the match—from serving and attacking to passing, defense, and play at the net.

Grace has proven herself to be an outstanding player whose effort, consistency, versatility, and competitive spirit make a difference for her team. She represents Alma Bryant with pride and demonstrates the determination and teamwork that define Hurricane GRIT.

Congratulations, Grace, on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud of you and all that you continue to accomplish!

📚 PRE-ACT TESTING — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15

All 9th- and 10th-grade students will take the state-mandated Pre-ACT this Thursday. We need 100% attendance, so please arrive on time and be ready to test. These students need to bring no bookbags, no digital devices, no phones and no smart watches.

Ninth- and 10th-grade students may be out of uniform on testing day but must dress appropriately. The following are not permitted:

- Pajamas
- Hats
- Hoodies
- Boots
- Tank tops or low-cut shirts
- Clothing that exposes the midriff
- Clothing featuring political, alcohol, drug, or inappropriate graphics

Eleventh- and 12th-grade students must be in regular school uniform and will report to designated holding areas until testing concludes around noon.

If 100% of our 9th- and 10th-grade students complete testing, administration will allow the entire school to be out of uniform on Friday! Stay tuned, show up, and help us reach our goal!

📚 PRE-ACT TESTING REMINDER 📚

Attention ninth- and tenth-grade students: The state-mandated Pre-ACT will be administered next Thursday, October 15. Your attendance and participation are required, and completion of this assessment is part of your graduation requirements.

Our goal is 100% participation! If every ninth- and tenth-grade student completes the test, the entire school will earn a future out-of-uniform day.

Students testing on October 15 will also be permitted to come to school out of uniform on testing day.

Please arrive on time, be prepared, and do your best. Your presence matters, and we need every eligible student to participate!

The Alma Bryant HERricanes Flag Football Team is back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13th, as they host the Davidson Warriors in an important region matchup!

We've got TWO exciting games lined up, and we need Hurricane Nation to show up and show out!

🏈 JV Game – 5:00 PM

🏈 Varsity Game – 6:30 PM

Our HERricanes have been putting in the work, showing determination, and representing Alma Bryant with pride all season long. Now it's time to defend our home field and continue battling in region play!

These young ladies bring energy, toughness, and heart every time they step onto the field. Let's make sure they know Hurricane Nation is behind them every step of the way!

We are excited to welcome our parents and guardians to Alma Bryant High School for our 2026 Parenting Day on Monday, October 19th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in our Media Center!

Parenting Day is a special opportunity for our families to spend time with their students, connect with our school, and learn more about the resources available to help their children succeed.

🍽️ LUNCH WITH YOUR STUDENT! Parents and guardians are invited to bring their own lunch or join their child for their school-provided lunch. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to spend a little extra time together during the school day!

📚 IMPORTANT PARENT RESOURCES! During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to receive your child's report card, learn more about the Thrillshare app that Alma Bryant uses for school communication, get instructions on how to monitor your child's grades throughout the school year, and receive information about our Title I funding and how it supports our students.

🏫 TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT'S NEW! We're also excited to offer parents and guardians the opportunity to tour some of our newly renovated facilities, including our cafeteria, auditorium, and Culinary Arts kitchen! These improvements represent continued investments in our school and the opportunities we provide for our students.

🔒 IMPORTANT VISITOR INFORMATION: For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors must enter through the front entrance, pass through our metal detector screening system, and sign in at the front office upon arrival. Please make sure your visitor guest pass remains visible at all times while on campus.

Anthony had a HUGE performance Thursday night, helping lead the Hurricanes to a 27-20 victory over the Robertsdale Golden Bears! 🔥
