This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. đşđ¸
In aviation, every flight launched safely is built on dedication, teamwork, and responsibility â values that reflect the sacrifices made by our nationâs heroes. While many are spending today with family and friends, our aircraft dispatcher classes are still in session as students continue training for careers that help keep the aviation industry moving safely and efficiently. âď¸
At IFOD, we are grateful for the freedoms that allow our students to chase their aviation goals every day. Today we remember those who made that possible.

Now that Spirit Airlines has ceased operations, one ACARS message has been circulating widely across social media. It was signed by Spirit Dispatcher Wes, and for many in our profession it captured something real. The message reflects the pride, responsibility, and humanity behind every release we issue. Dispatchers rarely get the spotlight, but moments like this remind the public that behind every flight number is a certificated aviation professional who cares deeply about the crews and passengers they support.
ADF wants to recognize Wes and every Spirit dispatcher for the professionalism they have shown during an incredibly difficult transition. Their work mattered. Their work always mattered. The dispatcher community stands with them as they navigate what comes next.
To all dispatchers facing uncertainty today, you are skilled, you are essential, and this profession is stronger because of you.

Now itâs time to put it all together. Best of luck to everyone â remember, good dispatchers always have a plan and a solid alternate.
