TONIGHT, November 9, 2023 from 6:00-7:30 PM to learn about the changes, know what information you will need to gather, and to get help creating / accessing your FSA ID.

Next week, we will be highlighting the military as a post-secondary option for our students. Each day during lunch, different branches will be available to speak with students about the benefits of joining the military. On Wednesday the 8th during both advisories, the Air Force will be doing a presentation in the Rally Room. To say we are proud is an understatement. Today we recognized our amazing students who were awarded different distinctions from College Board. These students are AP Scholars, NMSQT Commended Scholars and College Board Hispanic & African American Scholars. Congratulations to all of these wolves!

Today the counselors hosted our New To The View event. All of our new to RHS students were invited to attend a light breakfast and meet our student ambassadors to find out information on academics, technology, clubs, fine arts, and athletics. Connections were made between current and new students and we hoped every one learned new ways to get connected at Ranchview!

FREE APP WEEK

In case you have not heard yet, it is FREE APP WEEK at UAB this week. All students who submit their application before 11:59 PM CT on Friday, October 20th will have the $40 Application Fee automatically waived.

Please be aware, there is not a Fee Waiver Code for this week. When students reach the payment portal on the application, they can simply close out and we will take care of the rest. For students applying through www.uab.edu/apply, students must have both begun and submitted their application between 10/16 and 10/20 for the fee waiver to be applied! Common App submission must be submitted between 10/16 and 10/20.

Black College Expo™ is 10am to 2:30pm and the After Show from 2:30pm to 4pm, featuring a Step Show, “Dance Off” for Cash hosted by our celebrity ambassadors. Everyone has the opportunity to win CASH and prizes!!! Scholarships will be given at After Show on Site too!
All donations to our program, helps us continue to serve underserved and underrepresented students, including homeless and foster students, with free services and resources to help them connect to college, careers and beyond!
