🌟 Young Leaders in Action at the LEE Elementary STEAM Event 🌟
We're still buzzing from a truly inspirational moment at the recent LEE STEAM event that highlights the spirit of our Digital Innovation Leadership Program (DILP). 🚀

Radha, an eighth-grader and a bright DILP student, was volunteering at the event, guiding a kindergartener through the Swift Playgrounds app. This tool is excellent for introducing young minds to coding in a fun and interactive way. 📱💡

When Radha was needed elsewhere, she had already inspired the young kindergartener enough that, without missing a beat, this confident little coder stepped up to help another student navigate the app. 🌐👧

This wonderful chain reaction of peer teaching is a perfect display of the "snowflake effect" we encourage at DILP - one small act of leadership can lead to a significant positive impact throughout the community.❄️🌟

It's moments like these that reaffirm our commitment to nurturing young leaders who are ready to innovate and help others along their journey. Go Radha, and here's to many more young trailblazers like her who embrace technology and leadership so naturally!

The tapArt project helps students learn using variables, create shapes using core graphic paths, create animations, working with touch events and coordinates.

Our students use custom playground books on iPad developed by playground engineer. These books provide a methodical progression to developing game apps using Swift on iPad. In this art project, students learn game scene's coordinate system, touch events and drawing to create abstract art.
