Day 33 of 100 - Paint puzzle pieces⠀
⠀
If you knew how long it took to paint this you'd laugh. I had to go into the office today so I've been gone since 7:30 and got home about an hour ago. After I scarfed down my Chic-fil-a sandwich I grabbed my paintbrushes and a few cans of paint from each of my color coded shelves and got to work (no lie). ⠀
⠀
I'm pretty sure I'm still panting from this fast-moving day but I can at least check this off my list of "challenges" to get through today :)⠀

Day 30 of 100 - Paint an Avocado 🥑 - anyone else feeling like this guy?⠀
⠀⠀
I really surprised myself this morning and painted this completely freehanded. I mixed paints I hadn’t used before and didn’t use vinyl for the text as I intended to. I purposely didn’t record it because I didn’t trust that I could do it. I even had a template on hand and ready in the instant that I failed. ⠀
⠀
Lesson learned: there’s no need to put additional doubt on yourself when you have exactly what you needed all along. Just TRUST if 😊⠀

Day 29 of 100 - Paint a Graduation cap👨🏽🎓
⠀
This will sit on my nephews party table as he celebrates walking across that stage to receive his diploma. This Auntie is super proud of his accomplishments and I can’t wait to see where this new walk in his life will take him ❤️❤️

Day 28 of 100 - Paint on a shape (heart)⠀
⠀
Guys this one will be hung in my room for sure! It is special because I used sketches that my daughter Brianna drew. I took it and added it to the heart shape and the rest is magic. ⠀
⠀
Let me tell you why I chose this scripture. Remember I've said that if I can see it, I can paint it. I didn't see this one at all and I think it's because part of it belongs to Brianna so I couldn't wrap my mind around how to paint it. I literally prayed before I took her sketches and went to town and said, "please Lord, help me see this one", and you know what? He did. I found a marker I've literally never used and traced Brianna's flowers. Then the light gray called to me like it needed to be the accent and not the bright yellow I was going to grab from the shelf in my closet. Lastly, the scripture said exactly what I needed to hear for this to come together and I couldn't be more excited about it. ⠀
⠀
Let me just tell you there are things going on in my life that I can not see the end to, but this reminder helps. It reminds me not to focus on what I can see, but that which I can't see. That's where God is working and it'll all come together in the end. ⠀

Day 27 of 100 - Paint Pallet Art⠀
⠀
This is actually a custom sign I made for a friend this weekend. I had it on my list to make MUCH later (and smaller) but the timing aligned up so I’m showing her off today.

Day 25 of 100 - Paint Buttons⠀
⠀
I'm a quarter of the way in this challenge and here's one thing I've learned. There is literally a rainbow in the closet where I keep all of my paint and I've barely scratched the surface!⠀
⠀
I thought the hardest part of this challenge would be the actual painting but that's been the easiest. Once I see the idea of it, it's easy to paint it out. The hardest part thus far has been finding the time, finding the pieces to paint, and coming up with words or phrases to go with them. That said, if you have a quote or phrase you like, feel free to share below. I'll see if I can fit it into one of the next 75 days of painting!⠀

Day 24 of 100 - Paint Pancakes 🥞 ⠀
⠀
Did I mention sometimes my signs are inside jokes? ⠀
⠀
I promise pancakes were on my list of 100 things to paint prior to getting this sign request from my niece to make her mom for Mother's Day. My sister and her kiddos share a love of funny movies and there have been numerous times (rolling my eyes) when they quote movies that only they understand followed by fits of laughter. I don't get it but apparently they all do! ⠀
⠀
One of those quotes in question was what led to this sign and when I learned the quote included pancakes, I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Again, you might know what the heck this sign means but thank goodness it landed in the hands of someone who does and she ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Happy Mother's Day Dre❤️⠀

Day 18 of 100 - Paint with BIG paint brush strokes⠀
⠀
This sign is very different than anything I've done before but when a very good friend of mine asked me to do a custom piece for him, this image came to mind. I was nervous as I prepped it, and as I got my two biggest paint brushes out, I said a quick prayer before the paint even touched this wood canvas. ⠀
⠀
This quote is such a great reminder of the time we're in and I'm proud to say, these shaky hands are very happy with the final result. ⠀

Day 5 of 100 - Paint something small⠀
⠀
This weekend our pastor spoke about Creativity and how we use it. During this time of the Corona Virus I wanted to use my creativity the best way I can, so I made a few encouraging blocks that say "Be Anxious for Nothing" - Philippians 4:6-7⠀
⠀
As a gift to essential workers or those who have lost their jobs, I wanted to gift one to you as a reminder that God has you and everything will be alright. Things may seem discouraging but there are still blessings at this time. I hope this sign will remind you of that.⠀
⠀
If you know someone who would like one of these signs, please message me, or tag them below so that we can arrange a pick-up time for them. I will be handing these signs out this week or until I run out. Thanks again and I hope this message finds you!⠀⠀
