At Great Hearts Irving Lower School, our teachers do far more than teach lessons– they help cultivate a love of learning and guide our students in the pursuit of wisdom and virtue. This month in the Athenaeum After-School Program, scholars were transported to Medieval Times. They were immersed in activities based on tapestries and stained glass, the Canterbury Tales, and medieval-themed games. They also contemplated how knighthood and acts of chivalry required a great deal of courage, the virtue of the month.
