We have exciting news to share with our Universal Academy family! Today, the Texas Education Agency officially released the 2025–2026 A–F Accountability Ratings, and we are extremely proud to announce Universal Academy’s outstanding results:
⭐ Universal Academy District — A
⭐ Universal Academy Coppell — A
⭐ Universal Academy Irving — B
⭐ Universal Academy Bartonville — B
UNIVERSAL ACADEMY IS OFFICIALLY AN A-RATED SCHOOL DISTRICT!
This is an incredible accomplishment for our students, families, staff, and community. These ratings reflect the dedication, perseverance, and collective efforts of our students, teachers, administrators, instructional staff, operational and support staff, parents, Board of Directors, and the entire Team UA community. Most importantly, this A belongs to our students and families!
What Our Results Mean:
According to TEA, 1,202 districts and 9,105 campuses received accountability ratings in 2026. Statewide, 85% of rated campuses achieved acceptable academic performance, a C or above and 24% of districts and campuses improved their ratings compared to 2025.
Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath stated that this year’s ratings recognize the progress Texas public schools are making and “acknowledge the hard work of our educators” while also identifying areas for continued improvement.
The Texas A–F Accountability System evaluates schools in three key areas:
Student Achievement — How well students are mastering grade-level content and preparing for success in college, career, the military, and life after graduation.
School Progress — The academic growth students demonstrate, recognizing that schools can achieve at high levels regardless of where students begin.
Closing the Gaps — How successfully schools are supporting the achievement and progress of all student groups and ensuring access to a high-quality education.
TEA emphasizes that the accountability system is designed not simply to assign a letter grade, but to drive continuous improvement, celebrate successes, focus support where it is needed most, and prepare students for postsecondary success.
What This Means for Universal Academy:
Our A rating as a district confirms that the work happening throughout Universal Academy is making a measurable difference for our students.
We are especially proud that every Universal Academy campus earned an A or B rating. This demonstrates the strength of our district and provides us with a strong foundation as we begin the 2026–2027 school year.
Thank You for Choosing Universal Academy:
Parents and families, we especially want to say THANK YOU. We recognize that you have a choice when deciding where your child will receive his or her education, and you chose Universal Academy. We do not take your decision or your trust for granted.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our teachers, instructional teams, operational and support staff, campus and district leadership, Board of Directors, and community partners for their commitment to our students.
Most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR EAGLE CHAMPIONS! Our students worked hard, persevered, and demonstrated that they are capable of achieving at high levels.
Our goal remains clear: Every Student. Every Classroom. Every Campus. Excellence.
Today, we celebrate this achievement as ONE UA FAMILY! Universal Academy is an A-Rated School District, and we are incredibly proud of what our students, families, and staff have accomplished together!
With appreciation and UA pride,
