A six-figure paycheck without a college degree is within reach in these high-paying careers.

From elevator mechanics to commercial pilots, several skilled jobs offer median annual salaries topping $100,000, according to the latest available federal wage data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

But skipping college doesn't mean skipping training. Many of these positions require specialized licenses, apprenticeships or years of hands-on experience.

As part of its mission to promote and support quality construction education programs, ACCE has a Professional Development Certification Program to recognize industry-related professional development programs that meet ACCE certification criteria. This includes programs offered by Educational Institutions, Industry Associations, and private companies. Interested providers may obtain an application for certification from the ACCE President. Once the application is approved, the provider will be given the certification standards and asked to submit a Self-Evaluation Study. Upon successful review of the Self-Evaluation Study, the program provider will be issued a certificate and letter indicating that the program has met ACCE's certification criteria. America's shortage of skilled trades workers is straining homebuilding, infrastructure and a growing wave of commercial projects, as the industry struggles to bring younger workers into careers such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC.

Home Builders Institute (HBI) President and CEO Ed Brady joined FOX Business’ Cheryl Casone on "Mornings with FOX Business" to discuss the skilled labor shortage and the need to expand training opportunities for young people and transitioning service members.

ACCE Program Highlight: Colorado State University
80 Years of Building Construction Industry Leaders

For eight decades, Colorado State University’s Department of Construction Management has been preparing students to become leaders in the construction industry. Today, that tradition continues through a powerful combination of academic excellence, hands-on experience, industry partnerships, and a long-standing commitment to ACCE accreditation.

CSU’s Bachelor of Science in Construction Management has been ACCE-accredited since 1985. The program has produced more than 6,500 alumni, while continuing to evolve its curriculum to address emerging technologies, sustainability, leadership, and the changing demands of the construction profession.

One of the program’s greatest strengths is its emphasis on real-world experience. Every Construction Management student completes more than 600 hours of structured internship experience, complemented by industry competitions, service-learning projects, career fairs, mentoring, and direct engagement with construction professionals.
