Woodbury Elementary School, in Irvine, Ca The school was originally established almost forty years ago as El Camino Elementary School.
Woodbury Elementary School, located in the Village of Woodbury in the City of Irvine, is a K-6 year-round, single-track school. In 2007, the Woodbury Elementary School staff and students left the El Camino Elementary campus to move to a new location into a brand new facility at our present site. During that initial transition in 2007, the school served children in both the El Camino Real and Woodb
ury communities. For that reason, Woodbury Elementary has a rich history of traditions established at El Camino Elementary school blended together with new ideas and cutting edge technology brought on by new and innovative facilities. The building includes a large multi-media center with fortycomputers, a presentation system, and a well-stocked library. Additionally, every classroom includes a multi-media LCD presentation system operated through a computer and IPad. Thirty-five or more computers in each grade level wing are also available for student use throughout the day. Our campus also has a separate kindergarten area, multi-purpose room, high-tech stage, enhanced food service area, lunch shelter, playfields and hard courts.Currently, Woodbury has an enrollment of approximately 1,100 students. Although the majority of students speak English, a large number of students from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and speak many different languages. This international population, coupled with a number of students with special needs, creates a rich and diverse student body. At Woodbury, our diverse population is embraced, different cultural backgrounds are appreciated, and character development is encouraged. In addition to a rigorous standards based curriculum, Woodbury School believes that all students perform best in school and our community when values are taught and expected. We believe that a student who is driven by values is concerned with society as a whole. A person who is driven by values understands why we have values, is willing to use values, and can identify and prioritize his or her own values for the good of the community. As a result, values are practiced and taught on a daily basis. Our school slogan, “Everybody is Somebody”, is truly the basis for all actions taken and decisions made. The staff places its highest priority on the development of students who become responsible and productive individuals through teaching and modeling the values of Compassion, Cooperation, Initiative, Integrity, Perseverance, Positive Mental Attitude, and Respect. Students succeed at Woodbury. It is due to our common vision, highly skilled staff, “state of the art” instructional materials and equipment, and commitment to providing students with an environment that encourages ethical behavior that we move towards achieving our mission. This school is dedicated to providing each student with a safe and orderly learning environment, a rigorous, challenging, and developmentally appropriate curriculum, and the support necessary to develop students with integrity and character.

Due to the high chance of rain ☔️ on Wednesday, we are postponing our Race for the Gold. We will tentatively plan for the jog-a-thon to take place on March 22.
🌈The good news is that that gives us more time to make this fundraiser an even bigger success! Thank to everyone who has already donated. It is because of your help that we are able to run our amazing programs like STEAM lab!

These sixth graders have been helping to keep our campus clean and organized. Every day they pick up lost jackets and other items and return equipment to the proper place. We had so much fun thanking them for their hard work with a Chick-fil-A lunch!
