Elevate AAPI @ IVC stands for Equitable Learning Experience Valuing Achievement, Transfer & Empowering Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders at Irvine Valley College. The program is a five-year grant awarded to IVC by the U.S. Department of Education through the Title III: AANAPISI program. The purpose of the grant is to advance IVC programs and services to better serve our students and our local community through targeted initiatives and expanded resources.

Join us at IVC on Saturday June 13th as ELEVATE is helping to host the only Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Orange County. The event is free and will be in Live Oak Terrace from 9am - 5pm. All are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!

Welcome back students! If you need; a place to study, any snacks, school supplies, class materials to print out, or to meet with a counselor stop by the CAANAPI (B354). The Center will be open Monday - Thursday from 10am - 5pm throughout the summer (counselors are available Tuesdays & Thursdays 10am-3pm).
Throwback Thursday - A look back at some memorable moments in ELEVATE this past year. We welcomed California Poet Laureate Lee Herrick to IVC to celebrate AANAPISI Week. Hosted events such as; Orientation, Filipino American History Month, Chinatown Rising Screening with Film Producer Josh Chuck, had our students perform a Dragon Dance for Lunar New Year, took our students on a field trip to the theater, and had a Chinese Tea Mixology workshop to highlight a few of the numerous programs and activities offered through ELEVATE. Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for next school year. Until then, have a great summer!
