Black History lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas — and so does MY family’s legacy.
Five years ago, I visited the Black History Museum in Jonesboro, a sacred space preserving the stories, artifacts, and contributions of Black families — including MY OWN — who helped build this community and shape Black American history.
Right now, the museum is not publicly accessible, and whether it’s red tape, politics, or bureaucracy, our history should NEVER be locked away or silenced.
Black history is American history.
Our stories deserve to be seen, taught, honored, and protected.
I filmed this museum years ago, and I’m sharing that footage now — because they can’t erase what we preserve.
Jonesboro is my family’s hometown.
This is OUR legacy.
And we will keep telling our story.
