At Learning Lab Preschool, we value and cherish all of our families. We are truly blessed and honored to have the privilege of helping teach and guide your little ones as they grow into strong, independent, and respectful young people who will shape our future.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we especially want to honor the incredible mothers who play such a meaningful role in their children’s lives. A mother holds a special place in every child’s heart, and motherhood is one of the most challenging yet deeply rewarding callings anyone can have.

We thank God for blessing us with such kind, loving, and supportive families. To all the amazing mothers in our community — may God continue to bless you as you raise your children with love, joy, faith, and a strong sense of community.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Learning Lab Preschool! 💐

This week, we celebrated and honored our mothers through meaningful conversations, creative expression, and hands-on learning experiences. Through language development activities, collaborative lessons, and process-based art, the children explored gratitude, love, and the important role mothers play in our lives. We are thankful for the gift of family and the nurturing relationships that help children grow and thrive. God’s love is reflected through the care and guidance of our mothers, and we feel blessed for the beautiful lives we share. 💞

🌸🌸🌸We have truly enjoyed blossoming into our “Flowers” theme this week through a collaborative art experience. The children worked together to create a class mural, transforming paper rolls into flower stamps to design a vibrant garden of wildflowers. As they selected bright paint colors and took turns dipping and stamping, they engaged in cooperative play and practiced important social skills such as sharing, patience, and turn-taking.

This hands-on activity supported creative expression while also strengthening fine motor development and hand-eye coordination. The children explored cause-and-effect as they experimented with stamping techniques and observed how different colors and patterns emerged on the paper. Working together on a shared project fostered a sense of community and pride, as each child contributed to our beautiful class garden.

As part of our “Flowers” theme, the children participated in a hands-on activity that supported early literacy and fine motor development. While creating their own flowers, they practiced recognizing letters and spelling their names by selecting and arranging each letter in sequence. This experience encouraged name recognition, letter-sound awareness, and early writing skills in a meaningful and engaging way. The children also strengthened their fine motor coordination as they handled and placed materials, all while expressing creativity and taking pride in their work.

🌸This week in Ms. Rebekah and Jackie’s class, the children explored the life cycle of a flower and identified the basic parts of a . Through a hands-on, interactive group activity, students were introduced to new vocabulary related to plant growth and development.

The children demonstrated their understanding by collaboratively creating a flower poster. They practiced fine motor skills while gluing, sprinkling seeds, and adding materials such as green glitter to represent stems and leaves, and construction paper petals. Yellow confetti was added to the center of the flower to symbolize pollen and nectar, reinforcing their comprehension of how flowers reproduce and continue their life cycle.

Throughout the activity, students engaged in turn-taking, cooperative learning, and expressive language as they discussed each step of the process. We emphasized that plants begin as seeds and require healthy soil, sunlight, air, and water to grow and thrive.

This exploration supported early science concepts, vocabulary development, and social-emotional skills as children worked together to create a shared project.

In Ms. Rebekah and Ms. Jackie’s class, we participated in a sensory-rich science activity focused on caring for our environment. The children observed a tub of clean water with pretend sea life and then explored what happens when pollution is introduced. Through this interactive experience, students practiced problem-solving and critical thinking as they worked together to “clean” the sea life. Scrubbing the fish helped strengthen fine motor control and coordination.

Throughout the week, we emphasized the importance of taking care of God’s creation by keeping our environment clean. The children practiced responsibility by learning to properly dispose of trash, helping them understand how their actions can protect the Earth and all living things.🌎🤍🌊🐠

🦋 Butterfly Week at Learning Lab Preschool! 🦋

This week, our little learners dove into the amazing life cycle of a butterfly—and brought it to life with a fun, hands-on name craft!

Each child created their very own 🐛 caterpillar using construction paper and glue, with each segment representing a letter in their name. As they built, we practiced:
✨ Letter recognition
✨ Letter sounds
✨ Spelling their names

Learning becomes so much more meaningful when it’s hands-on, creative, and personal 💛

At Learning Lab Preschool, we love creating experiences where children can explore, create, and grow—all while building foundational skills for the future!

🌱 From caterpillars to confident learners… transformation is happening every day!

Little hands. Big learning. 🧡

Today our learners explored art through process, not product. As they painted, they practiced:
• fine motor strength
• focus & attention
• creativity & decision making
• sensory exploration
• independence

In early childhood, the goal isn’t a perfect picture — it’s building the brain.
Every scoop, smear, and brush stroke creates connections that prepare children for writing, problem-solving, and confidence in the classroom and beyond.

Play is the work of childhood… and learning is happening everywhere.

🎶 Music + movement = powerful learning 🎶
At Learning Lab, our chapel time is full of singing, dancing, and motions—because young children learn best when their bodies are involved 💃🕺

Movement supports:
✨ self-regulation
✨ coordination & motor development
✨ memory and language growth
✨ confidence and joyful expression

When kids move together, they’re not just having fun—they’re building focus, connection, and independence in ways that truly last.

This is early childhood education in motion 💚
