The school year has begun! Good luck to all GATI fellows! You've done an awesome job this summer!

The PINNACLE of the UCI GATI experience: A 4th of July hike right at sunset. And to top it off...a fantastic view of a cascade of fireworks at the hills. A foray into the wild with everyone-there's no way to cap off the UCI GATI experience!!!

Who knew that neurobiology could be so fun??? Our students were able to tour and participate in Dr. Christie Fowler's research lab. Our students were able to learn more about how drugs affect our brain's dopamine system!!!

WE DID IT!!! With a crew of the best and brightest, we made it through our escape room! Through teamwork, brain and wits, and some lockpicking involved, we made it in the nick of time with a second remaining!!!

With access to world renowned faculty and up-to-date research labs, UCI's School of Biological Sciences is ranked as #7 in California! Bio goes beyond the traditional classroom!

Who needs diamonds when you can easily create some carbon nanolattice structures?

Dr. Valdevit, UCI Professor of Materials Science, and his research team created carbon structures that have a bigger density than diamond via a new structure! All of this was done via 3D printing lasers, and there's hopes that this material can help spacecraft performance!

UCI surgeon Brian Wong and anesthesiologist Govind Rajan are partnering with Tom Milner, acting director of the Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic, to develop a new bridge ventilator for ICU units combatting the coronavirus.
