Before becoming one of the most influential animation directors of all time, Chuck Jones studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles (now known as CalArts). It was there that he developed the artistic foundation that would later shape the world of animation.

Chuck Jones once joked that it took him twenty-five years to realize he had no talent for drawing and by then he couldn’t quit because he had gotten too good at it. ✏️

His humor reminds us that growth takes time, persistence, and a little bit of courage to keep going.

Creativity + confidence = a badge well earned. 🎨✨ At the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, Girl Scouts can explore the visual arts while working toward their official Girl Scout badges.

Our programs teach the techniques, provide encouragement, and supply all the materials needed to complete the badge requirements. 🏅Each session is designed to meet the specific badge guidelines, giving scouts the opportunity to learn new creative skills and express themselves through art. Best of all, all materials and badges are included.
