✨ The power of YET!

Our Growth Mindset Assembly with Dr. Blake Brandes Blake Brandes was a huge success! From beatboxing to learning about the power of “yet,” our Mustangs came home excited to share what they learned. 💙

A huge thank you to Dr. Brandes for such a fun and inspiring presentation, and to our teachers and staff for helping make the assembly possible.

The learning continues beyond the assembly too! Each classroom will receive one of Dr. Brandes’ books based on grade level, including Why Does Dragon Need a Wagon?, Fenix in Flames, and One More Try. Additional copies of these titles, along with The Unmagical Unicorn, will also be added to our school library for students to enjoy. 📚

Programs and assemblies like this are made possible with support from Woodbury PTA. Thank you to everyone who has joined, donated, and helped us continue bringing meaningful experiences like these to our students. 🌊💙

🍎 A huge thank you to all of the Woodbury families who have already donated snacks and treats to help stock our Teachers’ Lounge! Your generosity has helped create a welcoming space where our teachers and staff can take a well deserved break during their busy days.

If you’d still like to contribute, we’d love your help! We’re continuing to keep the lounge stocked with our teachers’ favorite snacks, drinks, and treats throughout the year.

Whether it’s granola bars, chips, sparkling water, coffee, or another favorite pick-me-up, every donation is appreciated and goes a long way in showing our incredible staff how much they mean to our community.

Small gestures make a big difference, and together we can continue making Woodbury a place where our teachers feel supported and appreciated every day.

💙 We’re looking for our PTA Advocacy Chair!

Do you enjoy staying informed and helping others understand what’s happening in public education? We’d love to have you join our PTA leadership team as our Advocacy Chair.

The Advocacy Chair helps keep our school community informed about education policies and legislative updates that may affect our students and schools.

Responsibilities include sharing a brief monthly update at PTA meetings, providing educational resources to families, and supporting nonpartisan advocacy efforts throughout the year.

No experience is necessary, and training and resources are provided. If you’re curious about the role or simply want to learn more, we’d love to chat.

We’re looking for families to host a cultural booth and share the traditions, history, clothing, music, games, art, or foods that make your culture unique. Whether your display is simple or elaborate, every booth helps create a fun and meaningful experience for our students and families.

We’re also seeking event sponsors who would like to help make this inaugural celebration a success. Sponsorships help support event materials, activities, and experiences that bring our community together.
