🌿 Bringing Nature Therapy to Students! 🌿
The UCI Nature Wellness team recently met with Laguna Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) representatives to explore bringing nature therapy to K-12 students. Through Nature Wellness Stations on campus, UCI has already seen 90% of student participants report feeling calmer, happier, and more focused. Now, they’re working to expand this initiative beyond UCI!

We have some exciting news to share! UCI School of Education Pathway Project's Cognitive Strategies Approach has been demonstrated to be an effective intervention to enhance the academic writing of 7-12 graders. Their aim is to extend this research as a training program to English language arts teachers and National Writing Project Sites, in particular, across the country.
UCI Division of Continuing Education is proud to provide the technical support that has helped to bring this training to over 250 teachers to date, with plans to continue the training into 2025.
