Team 3476: Code Orange

Team 3476: Code Orange We are a high school level robotics team known as Code Orange. We then have just over 6 weeks to build a robot that we think could best play that game. Louis.

Within the context of FRC, Team 3476 seeks to design and manufacture a world-class robot using engineering, teamwork, and design skills.Our team strives to empower students to gain self-confidence and become leaders, collaborators, and critical thinkers. At the beginning of each year, FIRST challenges us along with thousands of other teams around the world to build a robot that can complete in a g

ame they design specifically for the season. Some of the past games have been similar to sports (such as soccer and basketball), and others completely unrelated. The robots can weigh up to 120 pounds (without the battery and bumpers) and be up to 5 feet tall. After the 6 week build season, teams attend regional competitions with dozens of other teams in hopes of qualifying for championship. Last season, we won the San Diego regional and had a blast competing among the best at the world championship in St. However, FIRST robotics isn't only about building robots and competing; it is about getting inspired and inspiring others. Code Orange recognizes the importance of sharing about FIRST and inspiring others to become interested in STEM subjects. We strive to impact the community by hosting and participating in dozens of community outreach events a year, from running summer camps to hosting FLL competitions to demonstrating our robot to starting robotics teams for younger kids (FIRST LEGO League for kids 9-14 years).

We are an award-winning community-based FIRST Robotics Competition Team located in Irvine, California. We are looking for highly motivated high school students who are passionate about robotics and STEM. No prior robotics experience is necessary but please note that this is an intensive program requiring strong commitments. It was incredible to be back this season after a 2 year break! We had a great time in the Galileo division this year in World Champs, winning the Imagery Award and getting finalists in our division with our alliance partners FRC Team 846 - The Funky Monkeys, Argos 1756, and FRC Team 498 l The Cobra Commanders. Thank you to all of our mentors and parents that made this season possible! We would also like to thank our sponsors and through their support, it allowed us to build our robot Eclipse this season!

This entire season was a whirlwind winning both regional that we attended for the first time in our history. We're so excited to continue our outreach events and participate in events during the offseason, and can't wait to see what's in store for us next year!

Team 3476 strives to inspire students to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and to empower students to incorporate multidisciplinary skills learned through outreach, leadership, and business in their future endeavors.

About FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition):

FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) is designed to provide a rigorous engineering challenge to high school students as well as teach leadership, collaboration, and project management at a professional level. Over 3,000 teams compete worldwide. Each team builds a robot to compete in a new game released in early January and ends with the World Championship in late April.
