Self-Care: We work with students every day to develop their self-care skills, which range from learning to use the toilet more efficiently to practicing good hygiene. Self-Advocacy: Students will always be encouraged to make their own choices, and we will always respect those decisions. Every Monday morning, we create a calendar with each student, allowing them to choose which activities they’d like to engage in that week. A fitness coach also teaches a 20-30 minute exercise class once a week. Employment Training: We help students gain job-related skills through participating in community-based volunteer work. Community Integration: From having lunch at the Irvine Spectrum to volunteering at a local food bank, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in activities in the community.
