Wait… What does clay have to do with writing skills?
Clay is such an interesting material for young children. The way it reacts to touch & temperature is a really unique sensory experience! But if clay isn’t accessible right now, working with play dough can also strengthen tiny hands.
Have you brought clay into your home or classroom before?

Sometimes new families are shocked to hear that we don’t allow any students to bring in traditional store bought valentines and gifts to school…
Our program is child led, which means they get to decide how to celebrate special occasions like this. They get to plan, create, problem solve, and work together to make their celebratory ideas come to fruition.
✨ The most important reason we do it this way? To honor their capabilities, creativity, and ideas. ✨
All of which becomes lost when their celebrations are shadowed by adult expectations of how it “should be done.”
