The organization will focus on the promotion of South Asian identity on the campus and within the community surrounding us, while also engaging in conversations that critique and celebrate the diversity among ourselves. We want to work with other communities to combat issues, such as LGBTQ+ rights, anti-blackness, media representation, color politics, and the list goes on.

It’s crucial for South Asian Americans to participate this year to provide for a better understanding of our communities nationwide and also ensuring that communities that rely on federal funding for schools, housing, public health and infrastructure continue to receive that and more. Additionally, Irvine Councilmember will be hosting a virtual town hall on Wednesday with the to present and discuss the importance of the Census for South Asian communities.
