🎭 Happy World Theatre Day!
Music and theatre often go hand in hand. From musical theatre classics to new voices finding their confidence on stage, every note helps bring a story to life.
To our amazing singers: keep telling stories through your voice. The stage is waiting for you. 🎶🌟

Whether you are sitting or standing it can be helpful to evaluate your posture while singing. Good posture often has more to do with stability that a particular stance. Here's some tips to get you started!
1. Make sure your spine is fairly straight through the neck
2. Your torso should be stable enough that someone shouldn't be able to push you over.
3. Try not to jut your chin out.

Today is the last day to sign up for our Acoustic Jam on April 19th!
Recitals are a great opportunity to show off what you've been learning in lessons and show off your unique sound. Hope to see you all there!

Teacher Feature: Meet Ben!
Ben is a music education major. He enjoys a variety of music genres from jazz to punk. He has had an interest in music for most of his life, participating in choir, drumline and an acapella group which placed fourth in the nation in 2023. Ben plays bass guitar with several bands and particularly thrives when playing live. Ben believes that music is a language everyone can speak and is eager to help others find their individual voice.

Student Spotlight: Meet Klover!
Klover first became interested in playing the guitar when she was 12. Her favorite artists are Billie Eilish and Girl in Red, so Klover began learning her favorite songs using YouTube tutorials. Her grandmother Catherine was impressed with Klover’s consistency and dedication so she gifted Klover guitar lessons at The Inside Voice.
Klover also loves art and is an avid painter. Her guitar instructor Serg gifted Klover an old guitar, and encouraged her to paint it, which was the beginning of a new hobby - painting instruments.
Lessons with 'The Inside Voice' are bringing Klover out of her shell and allowing her to build confidence and love of music. Klover’s family thanks TIV for their gentle and encouraging approach.

Teacher Feature: Meet Martina!
Martina, soprano, graduated with her Masters in Vocal Performance from California State University, Fullerton. Originally from the UK, Martina moved to California in 2015 to pursue the arts. Before studying music, she studied acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood. She was the opera assistant at Cal State Fullerton and through this position had the opportunity to direct scenes and coach acting. Martina played a number of leading roles in operas at CSUF and has also worked with Lyric Opera of Orange County as a cover artist.
