Hello eveyone!

My name is Aiyana Loyola (she/her), and I am one of the external representatives of Alyansa board for the 2020-2021 academic year.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨.

Alyansa board has decided that instead of doing a bulk order and having the stoles be picked up or shipped out from Irvine, the option to order the stoles yourselves and delivered directly to your homes is offered.

The company has offered to provide a discount of 15% to each order if the total number of orders we accumulate comes out to 30 or more. They will refund the discount to each order after they are placed.

Once we have accumulated all of the order numbers, we will send them to the company and you should receive the discount as a refund once they have manually done so. We hope that this discount and direct shipment can provide some relief to you all!

Last Thursday, during the COLA (Cost of Living Adjustments) protest, which aimed to show solidarity with Grad Students fighting for living wages across the UC’s, a Black alumna was tackled AND arrested on the basis of being stereotyped. She did not have anything to do with the protest, she was simply on campus to pick up her transcripts because she’s applying to grad schools. This is unacceptable and Alyansa ng mga Kababayan stands in solidarity with UCI’s BSU (Black Student Union) and USAS’s (United Students Against Sweatshops) statement demanding justice for Shikera as pictured below.
