As colleges release their final admissions decisions amidst a record breaking number of applications and plunging acceptance rates, it helps to be reminded that the path to success is not always a straight line. Unexpected obstacles in what has become an unpredictable and arduous admissions process that make college dreams seem unattainable, can also lead to hidden roads lined with greater opportunities.
