We had a wonderful first week of learning and creating at BCA's Logos Summer School!

Our 7/8th graders enjoyed a night out at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

O Fortuna! Carl Orff's masterpiece, Carmina Burana, contains medieval poems about the fickle nature of luck and destiny, love and lust, and how humans are at the mercy of fate’s spinning wheel.

It was a special honor to see our Choir Director, Ms. Kate Gremillion, and her husband, Randall Gremillion, perform with the amazing Pacific Chorale.

What a fun night we had!

BCA students participated in the Science Olympiad (2025 Sierra Vista Division A and B Invitational) for the first time ever this past Saturday, and two of our 4th graders earned a silver medal in the 'Egg Drop' experiment category! We are so proud of them and all the students who participated. We would like to express gratitude to our Science Olympiad Head Coach, Ms. Soo Jung Lee, for her hard work and to all our dedicated parents who helped and supported our students. We are grateful for this valuable experience that will continue to shape our students, and we look forward to the Regionals in May!

Our students enjoyed a school visit by the Orange County Fire Authority Station 4 captain and firefighters. They learned about fire safety and the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine and got to ask many questions. The firefighters got a call, and our students even got to see them in action! Afterward, our younger students enjoyed a read-aloud of 'No Dragons For Tea' by Community Relations Education Specialist Jillian Cole.

With the current raging wildfires in the LA area, we are incredibly grateful and appreciative of the service of our firefighters, who risk their lives daily in service of others. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the fires in Los Angeles County.

We rounded off the year 2024 with our annual Christmas concert. All grades performed songs and pieces that tell about the joyful message and the true meaning of this season: the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! The audience joined the whole-school performance for the final song, "O Come All Ye Faithful".

We hope you all had a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! At BCA, we celebrated with a Thanksgiving potluck in the classrooms. Our parents outdid themselves and provided so many delicious dishes and drinks. We are so grateful for our BCA community!

Our monthly Fathers' Prayer Meeting is this Thursday, November 14, at 8:30 am in the Bethel Café. Dear BCA dads, join us for a time of worship, prayer, and fellowship!

First Day of School Assembly and Pinning of Logic Students: We were reminded of God's goodness and faithfulness over our school and students. Our school opened its doors during the pandemic in 2021, and we are so grateful for all the families who have been with us since then and for all the new families who have joined us. We welcomed a new TK/K class this year and had a moment to honor and pray over our students who went into Logic School (7-8th grade). We are thankful for the continued growth and pray that this school year will be filled with a joy for learning!

Bethel Classical Academy's Bible verse of the year is Colossians 3:15-17. We are excited for another year of fulfilling BCA's mission of guiding students to love, to learn, and to discern for the glory of God in all areas of life through Christ-centered education that builds wisdom and character with the word of God. We pray that the peace of Christ ('Shalom') would rule in the hearts of all our BCA families, students, and faculty/staff this year.
