❤️🖤🤍 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, HORNETS! 🐝

What a wonderful first day here at Dawson-Bryant Elementary School!

We were so excited to welcome our Hornets back this morning and see so many smiling faces walking through our doors.

Today was the perfect start to what we know is going to be an AMAZING school year!

Here’s to a year of learning, growing, making memories, and being ALL IN — every student, every day! ❤️🐝🖤

🚗🐝 WE HAVE UPDATED OUR PICK-UP SYSTEM! 🐝🚗

This year, instead of scan cards, we will be transitioning to CAR PLACARDS to help make dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient!

Each family will receive 3 placards. Simply give them to the individuals on your child’s approved pick-up list. When picking up, hang the placard from your rearview mirror where our staff can easily see it — and leave the rest to us! ❤️🖤

📍 IMPORTANT PICK-UP INFORMATION

⏰ Pick-up is from 2:35–2:55 p.m.
To help prevent traffic congestion, please do not pull onto the parking lot before 2:35 p.m.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY GROUPS — More than one child:
Enter from County Road 6 and pull around to the back gym doors.

👧 SINGLE STUDENT — No siblings attending DBES:
Enter from State Route 243 and pull up to the front doors near the flagpole.

🚘 HOW THE NEW PLACARDS WORK:
• Each family will receive 3 car placards to share with individuals on your child's approved pick-up list.
• Each student will have a matching ID card attached to his/her backpack.
• Your placard must be hanging from your rearview mirror and clearly visible as you drive through the pick-up line.
• Our staff will identify your child using the number on your placard.
• Your child will come to your vehicle, and staff will match the two tags before dismissal. ✅

⚠️ NO PLACARD?
If the person picking up a student does not have the appropriate placard, they will need to park and come into the office before the student can be dismissed.

❤️🖤 Thank you for your patience as we transition to our new system! Our goal is to make dismissal as safe, organized, and efficient as possible for our Hornet families.

What a wonderful Open House! ❤️🖤🤍

We had such a great evening welcoming our Hornets back and seeing so many smiling faces throughout the building! 🐝

The classrooms are ready, our teachers are excited, and we can’t wait to officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year on Wednesday!

Thank you to all of our families who came out tonight. We are so excited for everything this year has in store!

❤️🖤🐝 NEXT UP… MEET MRS. FRALEY! 🐝🖤❤️

We are so excited to introduce Mrs. Fraley as one of the newest members of our teaching team!

While this will be Mrs. Fraley’s first year in a classroom of her own, she is certainly no stranger to Dawson-Bryant! ❤️

Over the years, Mrs. Fraley has been an incredible part of our district in so many ways. She has served as PTO President, worked as a tutor in our school, stepped into long-term substitute positions, and helped wherever she was needed.

Her dedication to our students and our school community has already made such an impact, and now we are excited to watch her begin this next chapter! 🍎✏️

We know Mrs. Fraley is going to do an amazing job, and we are so happy to officially welcome her to our teaching team!

❤️🖤 HELP US WELCOME MS. GINGER! 🖤❤️

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Ginger, our new Gym Teacher, to the Dawson-Bryant Elementary team! 🏃‍♀️🏀🏐

Ms. Ginger has been a part of the Dawson-Bryant School District for several years, and we are thrilled to have her joining us at the elementary school!

She is excited to begin this new adventure and can’t wait to meet her students, get them moving, and make lots of memories along the way!
