Our martial arts centers is a place where families can come together to reach their fitness goals, learn self defense and respect, gain confidence, improve their health and have fun. Our belief is that young children must first learn the necessary skills of being a good student; focusing on tasks, standing still, paying attention, working hard, listening, following and completing directions. WINNER.

Huge congratulations to Meaghan, who walked away from our Samurai Sword Seminar with the grand prize - her very own display katana!

Meaghan brought the energy, had a blast learning some new skills, and apparently had a little luck on her side too.

We had an awesome time with everyone who joined us for the seminar today. Thank you to all of our students and families who came out and made Sword-tember such a fun event!

And congratulations again, Meaghan - that sword looks pretty darn cool in your hands. šŸ˜Žāš”ļø

šŸŒŸ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: KAI! šŸŒŸ

Weā€™re giving a big shoutout to Kai!

Kai is one of those students who consistently shows up ready to work. He listens, gives his best effort, treats the people around him with respect, and brings a great attitude onto the mats.

What we really love about Kai is that he doesnā€™t just do martial arts ā€” he represents the kind of student we want at Level Up. Hardworking, positive, respectful, and always willing to keep learning.

Weā€™re incredibly proud of the martial artist heā€™s becoming, and weā€™re lucky to have him as part of our Level Up family.

Keep crushing it, Kai ā€” youā€™re RAD! šŸ‘Š

SMALL HUMAN. BIG ENERGY.

Never underestimate what kids are capable of.

Give them a challenge. Give them the chance to figure it out. Give them room to surprise you.

They might be small. Their potential isnā€™t.

Sir Lance came ready to LEVEL UP.

We couldnā€™t leave the East Irondequoit Open House without giving Sir Lance a shot at breaking a boardā€¦

Safe to say, he understood the assignment.

Thanks again for having us, East Irondequoit - this was way too much fun!

We had such a great time hanging out with East Irondequoit Kindergarten!

A huge thank you to all of the families who stopped by to say hi, spin the wheel, and have some fun with us at the open house!

Thank you to the East Irondequoit staff for having us, and a special shoutout to Sensei Enrique Ruiz for inviting us to be a part of the night!

We loved seeing so many smiling faces ā€” and getting to spend some time with a few of our Level Up students outside the dojo!

Thanks for having us, East Irondequoit! We had a blast!

This is Level Up.

Training hard. Having fun. Making friends. Building confidence. Learning that you can do things you didnā€™t think you could do.

Some days weā€™re focused.
Some days weā€™re loud.
Some days weā€™re laughing way more than we probably should.

But every day, weā€™re growing.

This is our school.
These are our people.
This is Level Up.

From Instructor to Parent

Weā€™ve known Sensei Justin for a LONG time.

We spent years training together, teaching together, and growing up together through martial arts.

And now, all these years later, we get to teach his son, Aiden.

Thereā€™s something pretty special about that.

And apparently some things really do run in the family ā€” check out that peace sign!

One generation becomes the next.

Martial arts has a funny way of turning students and instructors into something more.

It turns them into family.

What a way to end the summer!

Tonight was our End of Summer Party ā€” Karate Volleyball, games, pizza, and a whole lot of fun!

But nights like this are about more than just having a good time.

Itā€™s kids building friendships. Laughing together. Getting to know each other outside of regular classes and feeling like theyā€™re part of something.

Thatā€™s the kind of community we want Level Up to be.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made tonight such a blast. What an awesome group of kids!

Then and Now!

Griffin started training with us at just 4 years old when we were at our Titus location (now I-Square), by The House of Guitars.

Now, 17 years later, heā€™s one of our top instructors - bringing that same passion to the next generation of students!

From a 4-year-old stepping onto the mats for the first time to Sensei Griffin. How cool is that?!
