As summer comes to a close, we'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our amazing summer staff—Tahlia, Avarie, Lydia, Bailey, and Stephanie! ☀️💙

Thank you for being the extra hands we needed, jumping in wherever you were needed, helping keep our center clean and organized, and making a positive difference for our children and staff each day. Your hard work, flexibility, and willingness to help did not go unnoticed.

🌈 Tie-Dye Day at Willows! 👕🎨

Earlier last week, our White Oak classroom got creative and made their very own tie-dye T-shirts! The children had so much fun choosing colors, creating patterns, and watching their shirts transform.

Then later in the week, all of our classrooms were invited to wear tie-dye! 🌈 We loved seeing the bright colors and fun designs throughout Willows!

🌿 A Day in the Life at Willows! 🌿

Ever wonder what a typical day looks like for our littles here? 💚 While every room has its own routine - our days are filled with opportunities to play, explore, learn, and grow!

🍳 Breakfast – We start our morning with a nutritious breakfast and time to connect with friends and teachers.

🧸 Free Play & Learning Centers – Children explore, create, build, pretend, and use their imaginations while developing fine and gross motor skills through everyday play.

🚽 Care Routines – Throughout the day, we make time for potty breaks, diapering, handwashing, and other personal care needs.

📚 Circle Time – Stories, songs, conversations, learning, and opportunities to participate together.

🎨 Process Art – Children have opportunities to explore different materials and create without a set “right” or “wrong” way.

🫧 Sensory Play – Both wet and dry sensory experiences give children opportunities to touch, scoop, pour, squish, explore textures, and discover how things work.

🎶 Music & Movement – Singing, dancing, instruments, and plenty of opportunities to get our bodies moving!

🍎AM & PM Snack Times – A little fuel to keep those busy bodies going.

🌤️ Outdoor Play – Fresh air, big movements, exploration, and plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors all day long. We are blessed to have lots of room to soak in all the nature around us!

🥪 Lunch – We enjoy our meal together while practicing important mealtime and social skills.

😴 Nap & Rest Time – A quiet time to rest, recharge, and prepare for the afternoon.

✨ But here’s the important part…
Our days are play-based and child-led. We follow the children's interests and use those interests to guide our learning experiences. Whether they are fascinated by bugs, trucks, music, art, books, or simply building with blocks, we look for ways to turn their curiosity into meaningful learning!

💚 Our daily schedule is a guide and is subject to change in each classroom based on the children's ages, needs, interests, and individual routines. No two days look exactly the same—and that's part of the fun!

At Willows, play is learning, curiosity is encouraged, and every moment is an opportunity to grow. 🌿

At Willows Christian Child Care Center, friendships are blooming every day! From sharing toys to giggles to helping one another and learning how to be kind, our little ones are building friendships that help them grow.

Through play, teamwork, and everyday moments, children learn the importance of caring, sharing, and including others. These early friendships help build confidence, empathy, and social skills that will last a lifetime.

📚✨ Committed to Continuous Learning ✨📚

At Willows, learning doesn't stop when the children go home! Our teachers are committed to ongoing professional growth to ensure we're providing the highest quality care and education for every child.

Each member of our teaching team completes the required minimum of 25 hours of continuing education every year, covering a variety of topics such as child development, health and safety, social-emotional learning, positive guidance, curriculum, and best practices in early childhood education.

In addition to annual training, our team comes together for monthly staff meetings to collaborate, share ideas, discuss new strategies, and continue learning from one another. These meetings help us strengthen our classrooms and ensure we're providing the best possible experience for the children and families we serve.

Last Thursday, our team met and discussed ways to continue to grow as a stronger team and provide high-quality care to the children - each and everyday.

We're proud of our dedicated educators and their commitment to lifelong learning. Because when teachers continue to grow, children thrive. 💚

Today we are celebrating Mr. Jackson and his 6 years of dedication to the children at Willows! As a teacher in our Birch Room, Mr. Jackson provides a caring, nurturing, and fun environment for our young one-year-olds to learn, grow, and explore each day.
