Students in Mrs. William's Art Class at North Elementary School created a special project to thank the food service staff for all their extra work to accommodate the new gym floor being installed! Thank you Ms. Sylvia, Ms. Karla, Mrs. Geneva, and Ms. Sue "for the food", as Mr. Powell's fourth grade class put it! 😆

The Varsity Volleyball team put up a great fight against the Copper Kings but fell 19-25, 12-25, and 23-25.

The JV Mountaineer Volleyball team took on the Copper Kings tonight and put up a great fight 23-25, 19-25. Great effort, ladies!

The Freshmen Mountaineer Volleyball team beat the Copper Kings 25-22 and 25-21! Way to go ladies! 🏐

Iron Mountain High School Student Council Presents: Homecoming 2024, Night in Neverland (Grades 9-12)

Doors open at 7:30 PM and will not be open for admittance after 8:15 PM. Admission costs $10.00. Guest passes must be submitted by Wednesday, September 25 to the High School Office.

We are excited to announce that there will be a Homecoming Parade this year, held on the day of the Homecoming game- Friday, September 27, 2024 at 4 PM. The parade route will be as follows:

We will start the line-up in front of the HS building on Prospect, turn left onto B street and continue to Iron Mountain street where we will turn left and proceed past the library. Then we will turn left onto Hughitt and continue down to the stadium. Along the route, and the downtown IM parking lot will provide great viewing opportunities!

There will be a QR code linked to a Google form where people will be able to vote for the winning float from grades 9-12.

Grades 9-12 will be decorating floats separately as a class and North Elementary will be working on a float as a school. We invite parent volunteers to coordinate a float for the 5th/6th grade classes and the 7th/8th grade classes. Those interested can receive more information from IMHS Student Council Advisor, Kaye Miziniak at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your help!

Congratulations to the IMPS Student of the Week, Linh Nguyen! Linh is in fifth grade, and is the daughter of Anh Nguyen and Vy Luu. It has only been a couple days of school, but Linh has already proven that she is a hard working student. She quietly works in class, paying close attention to the task at hand. She is kind to the other students in class and always helps a friend in need. Linh is bilingual, speaking both English and Vietnamese! She is a great pleasure to have in the 5th grade.

Please be aware that the Izzo-Mariucci Center Weight Room is open from 6 AM until 10 PM, and is not open to those under the age of 18 on game nights. Thank you for your understanding.

We are extremely proud of our Tri-Hi-Y club and advisor Mrs. Rhonda Carey for their continued dedication to hosting multiple blood drives throughout the year. We are excited for the first blood drive of the year on October 23rd!!

Iron Mountain High School students gear up to continue blood drive tradition Iron Mountain High School's Tri-hi-y club is all set to run 3 blood drives this school year, and seniors look forward to achieving their "red cord" at graduation for donating.
