Another awesome HCU Hybrid Academy favorite!

Huge shoutout to Mr. Omar for teaching our 2nd Auto Tech class! 🥰😏

During this 12 week hands on course, students are introduced to the world of automotive technology.

They’ll learn everything from changing and rotating tires to checking fluids, changing oil, identifying vehicle components, and more.

Students will learn:
• Major vehicle components including engines, brakes, steering, suspension, tires, and batteries

• How engines create power and how key vehicle systems work together

• Basic maintenance skills like checking fluids, tire pressure, and performing vehicle inspections

• Proper tool usage and shop safety procedures

• Introductory diagnostic skills

Each student received a socket set, safety glasses, and a tire pressure gauge to use throughout the course.

Throughout the program, students build problem solving skills, teamwork, responsibility, and technical abilities through hands on repair experience.

It all started with an introduction to automotive technology and shop safety. 🚗🔧

Welcome to our 2nd week of class! Class is 2 hours a week and it still feels like we need more time lol
