Miss Dakota’s Small World traded in the classroom for the Wild West today at the YMCA Trunk or Treat! 🤠🌵

Community events like this remind us why we love what we do and how special it is to be part of such a wonderful community. ❤️

We loved bringing Jessie and a little Toy Story magic straight from Andy’s toy box to the party! From big smiles and sweet treats to seeing so many familiar faces and trick-or-treaters, it was an evening full of fun!

Cowboy hats off to the YMCA for putting on such a great event! 🤠 Thank you to everyone who stopped by to hang out with Jessie and Miss Dakota’s Small World!

You’ve got a friend in us! ❤️

Happy to announce it is disassembled and waiting to be picked up for its new home. We’ll certainly miss this but will be on the lookout for something that will work better for our space!

Not our typical school posting but, unfortunately, due to state policies, our courtyard is not big enough for this well loved climbing structure. Before I post to Facebook marketplace, would any of our families want this?
*must be picked up asap

☀️ School’s Out for Summer and Small World Has Some Exciting News! ☀️

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we want to thank all of our amazing children and families for making this year so special. We had a wonderful time celebrating together at our End-of-Year Picnic. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying time together, making memories, and celebrating all that our children have accomplished this year.

We are excited to share that our preschool is entering a new chapter! After years of dedication, care, and leadership, Miss Melissa is passing the torch to Miss Dakota, who will be taking over ownership of the program.

As part of this transition, we are also excited to announce that Small World will now be known as Miss Dakota’s Small World. While the name is changing, the heart of our program remains the same, with the same commitment to providing a loving, nurturing, and high-quality early childhood experience for every child and family.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Miss Melissa for the love, commitment, and strong foundation she has built for our children, families, and staff. Her impact on our school community will always be appreciated.

We would also like to recognize and thank Miss Jessica as she begins a new chapter of her own. Her hard work, dedication, kindness, and care for the children have made a lasting impact on our preschool family. We are grateful for the time she has spent helping children learn, grow, and feel loved, and we wish her nothing but success and happiness in her future endeavors.

As we move forward, Miss Dakota is honored to continue the tradition of providing a nurturing, safe, child-centered, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. While there will be a change in ownership, our commitment to maintaining those same qualities—quality care, meaningful relationships, and excellence in early childhood education—remains stronger than ever.

We are extremely grateful for the trust and support of our families and look forward to continuing this journey together, building on the strong foundation that has made our school such a special place for children and families for the past 40 plus years.

Thank you for being part of our preschool family as we embrace this exciting new chapter together. We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and fun-filled summer! ☀️💛

Work your way with your group of family and friends throughout the library on the giant gameboard. Hopefully you won’t spin and land on the black dots but will keep moving forward to the Candy Land Castle. Along the way meet Queen Frostine, King Candy, Lord Licorice, Princess Lolly and Mr. Mint and collect candy as you go.

Registration is required for groups of up to 6 people. Recommended for Kindergarten and up, but some younger children may enjoy this event. All children under eight must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
