Congratulations Kaydi Zoske for winning the Clothing Selection Style Show at the Iowa State Fair. Kaydi also received a $1,000 scholarship from ISU Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management

🐑 Three teams from Hardin County competed at this year’s Iowa State Fair Sheep Skillathon! Members tested their knowledge of wool evaluation, sheep nutrition, quality assurance, breed identification, and retail cut identification.

🥉3rd High Team - Erica Rodamaker, Isabel Gilbert, and Jackson Thiesen

🏅4th High Team - Clint Ingebritson, Henry Dunning, and Alyssa Vierkandt

🍀 Interested in joining the Hardin County Animal Science team and competing in events like these? Registration opens September 1st in 4-H Online with practices starting this fall!

Hey Everyone!! We will be offering the Master Gardener program in Hardin County this Fall!! So excited to get a new group started and allow Alumni to get refreshed with the course! Email [email protected] for any questions.

Want to become an Iowa Master Gardener volunteer this fall? This is a reminder that applications for Garden Academy are open through August 14!

What's required to become an Iowa Master Gardener?
- Apply!
- Complete a background check
- Be accepted and pay the Garden Academy fee
- Complete Garden Academy and pass the final test
- Complete a county-specific, in-person volunteer orientation
- Complete a 40-hour volunteer internship

We are seeking dedicated, passionate volunteers who want to make a difference in their communities and learn more about horticulture. No experience necessary!
