🌟 Meet our amazing 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Nugent! 🌟

This is Mrs. Nugent’s 26th year teaching and her 10th year at Mann! Outside of school, she enjoys snuggling with her dog, Zora, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

This is Mrs. Perry’s 15th year at Mann, all of them spent teaching 4th grade! Outside of school, she enjoys gardening, writing songs, and cooking with her family.

This is Mr. Green’s 32nd year at Mann! He spent about 15 years teaching a 3rd/4th grade combination before moving to 3rd grade. Outside of school, he enjoys detailing his car, taking long drives, and visiting his son in Minneapolis.

Fun fact: Mr. Green is a LEGO hobbyist!

This is Mrs. Aitken’s 15th year teaching and her 12th year at Mann! Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, playing board and card games with family and friends, and exploring new places—her favorite new spot this summer was Breadworthy Bakery!

Fun fact: She loves trying new recipes and has been perfecting her chana masala and homemade turkey meatballs!

This is Mrs. Quaye’s 9th year at Mann and her 8th year teaching second grade! Outside of school, she enjoys gardening, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her husband and dog, Frankie.

Fun fact: This summer, she saw her favorite singer, Mat Kearney, in concert for the 11th time! 🎶

🌟 Meet our new 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Cavey! 🌟

Mrs. Cavey is entering her 16th year of teaching and her 3rd year in Iowa City! Outside of school, she enjoys cheering on the Hawkeyes, spending time with family, running, reading, and drinking matcha.

Fun fact: She taught internationally in Colombia and Japan and even became scuba certified while living in Colombia!

Continuing our countdown to meet the teacher night on Thursday, August 20th!

🌟 Meet our wonderful 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Lemburg! 🌟

This is Mrs. Lemburg’s 19th year at Mann and her 15th year teaching first grade! Outside of school, she enjoys walking her dog, Lucy, reading, playing games, and spending time outside.

Fun fact: She attended a World Cup game between the Netherlands and Tunisia this summer!

🌟 Meet our amazing Kindergarten teacher, Mr. Ben! 🌟

This is Mr. Ben’s 6th year at Mann and his 4th year teaching kindergarten! Outside of school, he enjoys gardening, training for the Madison Marathon in November, and spending time with his dog, Violet, and pet frog, Coconut.

Fun fact: He loves gardening, but doesn’t like eating tomatoes! 🍅

Abby is joining us from Des Moines, where she has worked for the past 8 years, with her husband and two-year-old son.

Outside of school, she enjoys going on walks, listening to BTS, and exploring local coffee shops.
