A fabulous weekend with DBD's Shabops and Everette Tarchinski Everhart as we celebrated my spouse's award as the Distinguished Veteran along with 5 others at the University of Iowa! Thanks Shabops, Everette & Joe Everhart for joining us!

Good News! Jackie Christopher announced that a student has been selected to be the recipient of the scholarship that was created in Katie Tritt's name! The scholarship will be awarded in fall. Thank you to all of those that participated in providing contributions to make this scholarship possible. Katie's spouse will have the opportunity to meet the recipient in the future!

What a fabulous event with Groovy Katz last evening celebrating 25 years in our community! Congratulations Groovies!

Two Days of Orange and all things Ellen Webber. I have to admit I had to comb my closets for clothing orange but somehow managed. A beautiful visitation and funeral. I, for one, am eating Ellen's oranges for dessert this evening...

What a fabulous ribbon cutting for the African American Museum of Iowa with our renovation of our museum! Can't wait until it is open!!!! Weather? Unbelievable!

John, Katie's spouse, loved the idea of a park bench in the park where she loved to stroll, a scholarship for an elementary school student participating at the University of Iowa or a tree planted in her honor. I have information, if you cannot attend the Celebration of Life on the 23rd of February from 4 - 7 p.m and Me and Billy's in downtown Davenport, on where you can send a memorial donation if you would like. Let me know and I get that information to you!

Class of 1968 - we have learned that Katie Tritt will have a celebration of life on 23 February 2024 (Friday) from 4 -7 p.m. at Me and Billy's. We are discussing a memorial gift for her and I will keep you posted on this FB post. along with any changes or plans for the celebration.
