💛🔦 Summer Internship Spotlight #13 🔦💛
Our thirteenth Summer Internship Spotlight features Greta Raitt! This summer, Greta has spent 10 weeks working at her summer camp as a Senior Counselor of Cabin 12 and Senior Counselor of Archery, gaining valuable experience in youth development, leadership, and communication.
Here's what Greta had to say about her experience:
"I’ve gained so much experience in youth development, leadership skills, and so much more. This summer, I’ve spent a total of 10 weeks working at my summer camp that I’ve been coming to for 8 years in total and three years as a staff member. I love coming back to camp every summer because I feel like I grow each and every year! When I was a camper, I looked up to my counselors so much! Now I am in that position to give a child the best experience of their life! Every week I give a brand new experience to all of my camps, whether that be dyeing my hair, having a cereal party, going on an off-site trip to Pinicon State Park, doing fun crafts, having movie nights with just cabin 12, and so many dance parties! I’ve also had the pleasure to run the archery range this summer, which is by far my favourite activity at camp! I have learned more about how to use my loud, commanding voice, making kids understand the rules of archery, and making up fun and creative games that I can play at archery! This summer has been the most rewarding experience of my life. It feels so good to know that I had a small part in every single one of my campers' lives this summer!"
