James F. Jakobsen The Graduate Student Conference was named for Dean James F. Jakobsen in 2001.
This was in honor of his long-standing commitment to graduate student education and his work with the Graduate Student Senate. He served as the liaison to GSS for many years, attending our meetings assiduously. His advice and support have helped make our organization what it is today.
