Slightly late post of some great news: Congrats to Team DRB for winning the 6th Annual Sports Law Society Tourney. And thanks to all who volunteered or participated in the tourney and raffle. Iowa SLS was able to raise well over $500 for the United Way at this year's event! Looking forward to continuing the event and expanding the organization in years to come.

The 5th Annual 3v3 Charity Basketball Tournament and Raffle was a great success. We had 17 teams participate and some tremendous donations for our raffle. Congrats to Team Flight for taking home 1st place and thanks to all participants that helped us raise $500 for United Way!
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know about a 3v3 Charity Basketball Tournament the Sports Law Society is putting on.
The Tournament is Saturday April 12 from 11-3. It'll be in the UI Fieldhouse South Gym. Lunch is provided with you $20 entry fee (3-5 players per team). Every team is guaranteed three games and the winners get 4 cubs tickets as well as trophies.
There will be a charity raffle and tickets can be purchased before or at the tournament with all proceeds going to the Johnson Co. United Way.

LAW SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE!!! It will be Saturdays this semester, starting January 26!!! Games start at noon, are played in Field House South Gym, are scored pickup style (2s and 3s to 25, win by 2), it's a 5v5 game, rosters between 5-8 players, don't have to be law student but must have access to facility, $5 per person, & length of playoffs determined by , 2 games per week, games are self-reffed but a "dispute" ref will be present. Prizes valued at $5/player for 2nd place, at $10/player for 1st. This is a FUNDRAISER for the SLS, so help us out and play some recreational-level but fun & competitive basketball!! It IS A COED-friendly league (meaning teams MAY be all-male, all-female, or mixed - all in same division)! Men's ball will be used!
