We have once again been named the No. 1 “most humanizing” health care brand in the United States. This recognition reflects the work of our providers, nurses, researchers, educators, and care teams who show up every day for patients and families across Iowa.

“Having the midwifery group is such a blessing to the community,” she says.

Congratulations to David Lee, MD, on being named the new director of the UI Health Care Organ Transplant Center, effective Dec. 31.

Dr. Lee, a nationally recognized transplant surgeon, researcher and educator, comes to our center from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he currently serves as surgical director of the liver transplant program.

Jenn felt inspired to give back to the hospital where her husband works and some of her children were born, so she became a volunteer. 💛

“Whether they are a patient, employee or volunteer, they all have something that could change you for the better.…There is a lot of collective good happening in this place,” she says.

We’re grateful to Jenn for sharing her compassion and helping make our hospital a welcoming place for all. Thank you for making a difference!
