Professor Viridiana Hernandez Fernandez and PhD Candidate Ashley Dorn were both presenters at this year's the Agricultural History Society's Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.
Professor Hernandez Fernandez participated on a panel discussing Crop Innovation and Dorn presented her research on a panel about Struggles over Farm Labor in the Long 20th Century.

Congratulations to Dr. Nathan Chaplin. Nathan researched U.S. empire building in Nicaragua under advisor Dr. Mariola Espinosa. He defended his dissertation, "Middle Americas: Midwestern Futures in Nicaragua, 1855-1927" in April and will graduate this evening at Carver Hawkeye Arena.
