❓What types of roles are you hiring for this fall?
This fall, we are primarily recruiting students for internship opportunities within our Information Technology, Purchasing, Product Development, and Sales teams. Each of these roles gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a growing consumer products company and see how their area of study connects to the broader business. With more than 5,000 products, 30+ private-label brands, nationwide sales operations, and both domestic and international locations, there are a lot of moving pieces behind what we do and our interns get exposure to that.
❓What can students expect from your recruiting process, and how can they best prepare to be successful?
Our recruiting process typically consists of two interviews, with at least one taking place onsite. We think the onsite interview is especially important because it gives students the opportunity to see our workplace firsthand, meet members of the team, and get a better understanding of our culture and environment before making a decision.
To prepare, we encourage students to learn a little about Lynco Products and come ready to talk about their interests, experiences, and what they hope to gain from an internship. We don't expect students to already know everything. We're looking for people who are curious, motivated, willing to learn, and ready to contribute. Asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine interest in the business goes a long way.
❓What makes your organization a great place for students and recent graduates to launch their careers?
One of the things we're most proud of is that our interns are given meaningful work. We don't want someone spending a semester or summer working on miscellaneous projects that never really impact the business. Our interns work alongside our teams, contribute to real initiatives, and get an inside look at how the different parts of our organization work together. That aligns closely with Lynco's philosophy that the work our employees are doing should matter and that growth and development are important to the company's success.
We also view our internship program as a pipeline for future talent, not simply a short-term program. Nearly all of our internships have resulted in full-time offers, particularly for graduating seniors and recent graduates. Our goal is for students to leave their internship with valuable professional experience, but ideally, we want them to see a future for themselves at Lynco. There are opportunities to grow across many areas of the company, which makes Lynco a great place to start a career and continue building one.
