The City High School Homecoming Parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.

The parade route will begin at Mercer Park, 2701 Bradford Drive, and proceed west on Bradford Drive to First Avenue. The parade will then travel north on First Avenue to Bates Field, where it will end.

Traffic will not be allowed on or across the route once the parade begins. Drivers traveling in the area are encouraged to use an alternate route as delays are expected.

Today we are saying goodbye to the location that has housed us for many years, but that mission remains the same. We are beyond grateful to have found a new place that will allow us to continue serving the Eastern Iowa City community and are very excited for our new beginning.

Thank you to all the families who helped make Teacher Appreciation Week so special for our staff! 🍎 We were well fed and felt so supported all week. 😁 Having a bowling social planned at the end was the cherry on top! 🎳 And thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people that make up our Loving Arms teaching staff - you are simply the best! 🏆 (The bowling could use a little work to be honest though. 😂)

Claire and Kayla are at the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children Spring Institute today and tomorrow thanks to a scholarship from the Johnson County Empowerment Board!

Come on down to Indigo room - may we interest you in a slice of 'za? 🍕 Or perhaps a tasty beverage? 🥤 Our preschoolers are more than happy to serve you in their pizza parlor. You'll be able to select from a variety of toppings, and we can guarantee you'll receive your food with a smile. 😁
