Our outdoor fundraiser on the scenic Summit Hill Farm was a great success. Beautiful weather, a lovely rural backdrop and relaxing live entertainment provided an idyllic setting. A big thanks to hosts Kasey Jurgensen and Howie Pewitt for sharing their homeplace. The live band Blame Papa donated their time and talents for this special evening on the farm. They dazzled the crowd. A special guest of honor was Debbie Bryant, the granddaughter of our beloved superintendent of Sharon High of the 1920s, George M. Ludwig. Attendees brought some great food and desserts. Our history displays were on hand and enjoyed by many. What can be better than good times, good food and good friends? As a result of all the time and efforts of so many and the band Blame Papa, all proceeds will go to the restoration of our treasured old Sharon High schoolhouse. Thanks to all who were a part of this special evening! And we were blessed with a spectacular Iowa sunset to end the day.
