FYI: upcoming events

-Color Guard audition training sessions are taking place every Tuesday after school at Ionia MS gym balcony. Any Ionia student 8th-11th grade may attend. No experience necessary-dance background helpful.

-MS Jazz plays tomorrow at Hastings Jazz Festival.

-Tonight is 8th grade orientation night at IHS 6:30pm stop by if you have any questions about the 2026 fall competition marching season.

-Spring concerts are May 11, 12, 13

7pm - event begins (perform)
8pm ish-go home.

Available through any IHS Jazz Student OR Ionia HS Main Office.

This annual event featuring the Ionia HS Jazz ensemble is Friday, May 1 at the Shadow Ridge Golf Course.

The guest artist is Max Colley III on Trumpet.

Tickets - $30 per person

Congratulations to the Ionia High School Jazz Ensemble!

Today at State Jazz Festival in Mona Shores, the Band earned a Division One (1) rating.

Bravo to all the IHS jazzers for your passion and dedication for the Ionia Jazz program and for always stepping up and laying down a great performance!

Also this marks the 5th (maybe more-but ?) consecutive year that all of the Ionia bands have earned a First Division (1) rating at their respective Festivals!

Congratulations to the Ionia HS and MS Jazz Ensembles!

Both groups earned a First Division rating (1) at District Jazz Festival.

Excellent performances by both bands!

Bravo!!

A few “Thank You’s”-
Ionia HS Food Service for making and providing all the lunches for our students.

Our Transportation Department for ensuring (even though short handed) that our students are able to attend these Festivals and important events.

And to the many wonderful parents, friends and family that attended the performances today in Caledonia.

Mr. Grant and I are so thankful for all of your support and dedication to our students and community!!!
