Anyone know how to turn the weather down about 15 degrees!? This is what we are looking at next week and because of this, here will be the schedule for next week's athletics. We will keep you updated on Thursday for both football & cross country as soon as we know more!

🏈Football- Will practice from 5:45 AM- 7:15 AM on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday on the turf at Riverside Park. Transportation will be available if you would like us to bus them back to the school but you are welcome to pick them up at 7:15 as well. Thursday's game time MAY be pushed back an hour, that call will be made on Wednesday by noon. Friday they will just watched film at IMS after school.

👟Cross Country- Will practice starting at 6:00 PM at Riverside Park. Thursday's meet may be delayed or races shortened due to the heat. A decision will be on that by late Wednesday morning. Friday's practice is TBD based on what temperatures are closer to that time.

🏐Volleyball- No changes.

Don't forget about the Gatorade scrimmage is tonight at Riverside Park! The boys needs to be there dressed by 5:00 for pictures. Parents, you can drop them off and be back by about 5:50 for the scrimmage. There will be a flat bed truck in front of the main entrance to drop the Gatorade and water off at. We will announce the players at 5:55 and get the action started right at 6:00! There are NO concessions so please plan accordingly. Bathrooms will be available. The scrimmage should wrap up no later than 7:00. Hope to see you there!!!

Due to cancelation of seasons from one 8th grade team and one 7th grade team our first 3 weeks of the football season has changed a bit. Finding replacement opponents was not easy so we appreciate your flexibility as we tried to find opponents so our boys did not lose one of their 7 games. Week 4 and on remains unchanged from the original schedule!

We have a few updates on practices due to the high temperatures and humidity. Hopefully this is the last of it and temperatures drop next week! We appreciate your flexibility in doing what we feel is safest for our athletes.

Football- Normal practice time today, tomorrow morning will practice from 6:00-7:30 AM.

Cross country- Indoors today at IMS. Pick-up at 5:15 on the north side of the building. Mustang Stampede at 6:45 tomorrow night!

Volleyball- Sure is nice to be an indoor sport right now!

We are off and running for the 2026-2027 school year here at IMS! The most common thing we have heard from parents is "I'm so glad school has started back up" 😂 Well so are we! We are just a handful of days away from your kids being back in our building and getting another school year underway! We are truly excited for another great year here at IMS. There will be a few changes for us this year and we thought it would be best to share those with you so you and your child are both prepared for the 2026-2027 school year. Keep in mind that some of these changes are new laws put in place by the state of Kansas. We are simply following those laws.
