We have a small change in the football game at Wellsville next Thursday. They are having some issues with their football field, so the game will be played on their practice field. They have assured us the practice field is in great shape. However the lighting there isn't the best SO the start time Thursday will be 3:00. The 7th grade game will take place at that time, with the 8th grade game to follow. One other note is to bring you own chair! There will not be bleachers but their will be a section for each team's fans to sit.

Our boys played their final games at Riverside Park tonight against the Burlington Wildcats! The 8th graders beat a very good Burlington team 48-16 to move to 5-0 on the season! The win also guarantees them sole possession of the regular season Pioneer League Championship! Two more wins to go boys! A trio of Mustangs each had 3 TDs tonight. Elijah Irby ran 3 in. Landon had 1 throwing, 1 running, and 1 on a fumble recovery. Greyson Skahan had 2 running and 1 receiving. Total team effort as always though!

Our 7th graders were the first team to score a TD on the undefeated Wildcats in regulation, scoring on a long TD run by Bentley Pratt and then on a long TD pass from Jonas Mueller to Jayden Brady on our first two drives! Unfortunately the scoring stopped there and they fell 12-22 to drop to 3-2 on the season. Both teams will face Wellsville in their final regular season game a week from tonight.

Parents, we know you like to plan... We can tell you for sure 100% that the 8th grade boys will play at 1:00 at Santa Fe Trail on 10/20. 7th grade has a lot TBD still but most likely are looking at a 3:00 game on 10/19. We will know for sure after the games next week!

The cross country team was action on a HOT course in Eureka last night! That, along with one very large hill, made times a touch slower across the board for everyone but our kids did FANTASTIC!!! Results for all are shown in the photo. We had NINE individual medalists out of our 17 runners! Great job Mustangs 💙💛💙

It was quite the night in Pittsburg for our IMS volleyball team! They wrapped up their season by enjoying a thrilling 5 set victory by the Gorillas! They saw some quality volleyball and even got to meet some of the players! Huge shout out to Iola Jock's Nitch for sponsoring all of our team experiences this year!!! Make sure to grab all your Iola appearal and sporting gear for the upcoming season there 💙💛
Also a big thanks to our bus driver Danny for getting us there and back and making the night possible!!! Thank you to Coach Sigg as well for tagging along and helping keep these girls in line!

Our volleyball teams wrapped up their season in Prairie View today. The eighth grade girls got the day started off right with a big win over Osawatomie! Unfortunately, the rest of the day was full of close losses for both squads. The eighth graders fell in the semis to eventual champion Wellsville and then dropped the 3rd place match to Burlington to finish in 4th place. The 7th grade girls lost their opening match to Prairie View and then dropped their consolation match to finish in 6th place.

We are extremely proud of these girls for a great season! We hope to see them all for the first 🏀 practice on Monday! Everyone have a great weekend💙💛💙

Cross country was in action yesterday afternoon at Central Heights. We were waiting to post so we could get a picture of our 8TH GRADE GIRLS CHAMPIONS all together! Congrats on the accomplishment ladies! Full results are in the first picture. The team will be in action one more time next Tuesday in Eureka before their league meet the following week!

The 7th & 8th grade games were almost mirror images of each other tonight. The good news was it was a pretty good looking mirror they were staring into! Both teams led 24-0 at halftime of their games and coasted to big wins!

The 7th grade finished win a 30-6 win to move to 3-1 on the year! Bentley Pratt had 2 touchdowns on offense and added a pick six on defense as well. Jonas Mueller accounted for the other score of the game with a pick six of his own! The boys were 3 of 3 on conversions with Pratt running in the first two and Mueller finding Jayden Brady on the 3rd. Great job boys!

On the 8th grade side they had to show the 7th grade up just a little as they finished with a 38-6 win to remain a perfect 4-0 on the season! Greyson Skahan had 3 TDs, one of which came on a beautiful pass from Landon Desmarteau. Elijah Irby added a pair of TD runs himself. Desmarteau, Bryce Roberts, and Irby all had 2 point conversions as well. Jaxson Berntsen added an extra special 2 point conversion at the end! Way to go big man!

Great job to all Mustangs tonight! Next up is a battle with currently unbeaten (7th & 8th) Burlington next Thursday.

Also want to give a shout out to the folks at Moran Manor for prepping meals for the boys today 💙💛
